X-Men: First Class Writers Set For New Power Rangers Movie

According to The Hollywood Reporter, X-Men: First Class screenwriters Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz have been brought in to work on the new Power Rangers. The report also states that Roberto Orci (Star Trek Into Darkness, Transformers) has been brought on board as executive producer. Lionsgate will produce the film.

20th Century Fox previously released two feature films on the series, the first was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie in 1995. That film made $66 million at the worldwide box office. They then produced Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie in 1997. That movie made a total of $9.6 million at the worldwide box office.
