HBO and Steven Spielberg Developing TV Film Version of All the Way
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 07.16.2014

TV Line reports that HBO has acquired the rights for the Broadway show All the Way, which won the 2014 Tony Awards for Best Play and Best Actor in a play. The TV version is set to feature Bryan Cranston reprising his role as President Lyndon Johnson, and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment is producing the project.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan is adapting the show from his own script for the made-for-TV film.

The story takes place in 1964 during Johnson's first year in office following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
