Deborah Ann Woll To Play Karen Page In Daredevil
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.17.2014

Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood, Highland Park, Ruby Sparks, Mother's Day) has been cast as Karen Page in Marvel and Netflix's first series together, Daredevil. Page will be Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox) love interest in the 13-episode series.

Page is the longest-running love interest for The Man Without Fear in the comics. She was created by Stan Lee and appeared in the first issue in April 1964. She's a secretary for Nelson & Murdock who eventually discovers who Murdock actually is. In the 2003 film that starred Ben Affleck, Ellen Pompeo played the role but it was very minor. A source said that this is "the first time the Karen character will be brought to life in a meaningful way."

Based on the comic of the same name, the series will be run by Steven S. DeKnight, who replaced Drew Goddard earlier this year. Goddard will instead work as an executive producer and consultant. The series also stars Elden Henson as Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, Rosario Dawson in an unnamed role and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin.

Daredevil was picked up in a deal with Marvel that includes Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, along with the miniseries The Defenders. It will debut in 2015 and is produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.
