New Details on Fargo Season Two's New Cast and Time Period
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 07.21.2014

IGN has some new details today out of the TCA press tour on the just-announced second season of Fargo. As previously reported, the show will cover a new era and have a new cast but will include some of the same characters.

The season will be set in 1979 and focus on Lou Solverson, who Keith Carradine played in season one. This will be a thirty-three year-old take on the character, a state cop recently back from fighting in the Vietnam War. Molly will be four years old and we'll meet her mother as well.

The show will visit Sioux Falls, Luverne and Fargo, which will allow is to find out about the Sioux Falls incident that Lou referenced in a season one episode. It will also draw its influences from three Coen brothers films - Fargo, Miller's Crossing & The Man Who Wasn't There, similar to how the first film drew influences from Fargo, No Country for Old Men and A Serious Man.

The show will begin shooting in January and air in the fall of 2015.
