Plastique Set To Appear On The Flash
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.23.2014

TV Line reports that DC Comics villain Plastique (aka Sgt. Bette Sans Souci) is set to appear in The Flash. She is described as "a fetching young redhead who was a bomb specialist with the Army before she was injured by an IED in Iraq".

She was exposed to the Central City explosion and can turn any object to a bomb by touching it. The website suggests that she could actually be an ally for The Flash. She first appeared in Fury of Firestorm #7. She is a villain against Captain Atom and Firestorm (Robbie Amell has been cast as half of Firestorm in the series). The character has ties to the Justice League and the Suicide Squad.

The Flash will debut on October 7 and airs on Tuesdays this fall. It was created by Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, who wrote the pilot with Geoff Johns (which will be directed by David Nutter). It stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris's father, Detective West, Michelle Harrison as Barry's mother Nora Allen and John Wesley Shipp (from the original series) as Barry's father.
