Mythology Entertainment To Adapt Comic Series The Library
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.30.2014

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mythology Entertainment is set to work with comic company Zenescope Entertainment to adapt The Library. Mythology is the production company created by Brad Fischer, James Vanderbilt and Laeta Kalogridis.

The Library is a spinoff of Zenescope's Grimm Universe series. It follows two teenage siblings who accidentally unlock portals in the titular library that take them into the worlds of the books inside. There is no writer attached to the film at the moment. Fischer, Vanderbilt and Jon Silk will produce with Zenescope founders Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco. Dave Brown will also produce for Echo Lake Entertainment.

Mythology is currently in pre-production for Vanderbilt's directorial debut Truth, an adaptation of Mary Mapes' memoir Truth and Duty, which will star Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford. They also hired Mark Romanek to direct a prequel to The Shining for Warner Bros called The Overlook Hotel. Zenescope was created in 2005 and focuses on fairy tales, folk tales and myths with modern spins. Grimm Fairy Tales is their biggest title.
