Texas Chainsaw Actor Says Marilyn Burns' Health Was Deteriorating
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 08.06.2014

The actor who played Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre says that he was aware that Marilyn Burns was having health issues before she passed away. As previously reported, Burns was found dead in her home in Houston on Tuesday and an autopsy is underway.

Gunnar Hansen spoke with TMZ andf said that he remained good friends with Burns after filming the movie in 1974 and spoke regularly, at least once a month including visits to her home. He said that it was obvious that she had health problems over the last few years but they never discussed any specific issues in that regard.

Hansen noted that Burns was a wonderful woman who was humorous and generous and said that he and other actors from the original film, including Allen Danziger and Ed Neal, are planning to attend the funeral.
