The Roles of Missy Elliott and Timbaland Cast For Lifetime’s Aaliyah Biopic
Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.09.2014

According to The Wrap, Chattrisse Dolabaille and Izaak Smith (Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) have been cast as Missy Elliott and Timbaland in Lifetime's Aaliyah: Princess of R&B. Missy Elliott and Timbaland worked with Aaliyah on her album One In A Million as well as her 2001 self-titled release. That was released the same year Aaliyah died at the age of 22 in a plane crash.

The biopic is planned for a fall debut, and is based on the book "Aaliyah: More Than a Woman," by Christopher Farley. Alexandra Shipp was previously announced as replacing Disney star Zendaya Coleman in the lead role.
