Details on How Ant-Man Will Connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 08.14.2014

One of the best things about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is how multiple films in this gigantic franchise are interconnected, with characters making appearances across multiple films, even outside of their own solo outings. But where does Ant-Man figure into the conversation of the larger MCU? Latino Review released a new report with details on how that could play out for the character in his upcoming feature.

According to the report, early drafts of the Ant-Man script featured a prologue where Hank Pym meets notable faces from S.H.I.E.L.D. in the past, including Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Arnim Zola, and a young Alexander Pierce. Peggy Carter last made an appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will soon be featured in her own spin-off series on ABC.

These details reportedly came from an early version of the screenplay, and other writers have taken a stab at the project since the earlier drafts. So it is possible the details of the prologue have changed, as well as its inclusion.

Ant-Man is due out in theaters on July 17, 2015.
