Although it did have an impact...
TMZ reports that Robin Williams' getting diagnosed with Parkinson's may have played a role on his depression but it did not lead to his suicide. Williams was struggling with the diagnosis but he has lived with depression for years. The diagnosis only "exacerbated" his situation.
Doctors had been giving Williams medication to slow the disease, which they think had a negative impact on Williams emotionally. They had been working to perfect the exact combination of drugs needed. Doctors also believe that the disease itself triggers depression in patients, but it did not trigger Williams' suicide. Williams has had depression for a large portion of his life.
