Steven Spielberg Developing a Minority Report TV Series
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 08.21.2014

The Wrap reports that Steven Spielberg and Amblin TV are developing a TV series based on his 2002 film, Minority Report, based on the Philip K. Dick short story. Writer Max Borenstein (Godzilla) is attached to write the show.

In the film, a detective works for an elite police unit that uses the abilities of psychics, or precogs, in order to stop crimes before they happen. However, in the film, Chief John Anderton (played by Tom Cruise), is eventually implicated to commit a murder by the precogs and goes on the run from the unit he helped start.

Amblin is looking for a "name" actor to cast in the lead role for the TV show, which would follow the adventures of the PreCime Unit.
