Mint Condition Copy of Action Comics #1 Sells For $3.2 Million

Superhero Hype reports that a copy of Action Comics #1 (featuring the first appearance of Superman), sold on eBay for $3,207,852.00.
It was graded 9.0 by the CGC and described as "a 1938 museum piece with PERFECT WHITE pristine pages." It was auctioned off by Pristine Comics, who will donate 1% of the total ($32,078.52) to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
The comic was first published in 1938. It was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The comic sets up Superman's secret identity of Clark Kent and also introduces Lois Lane. The previous most-valuable edition of the comic, owned by Nicholas Cage, sold in 2011 for $2.16 million.
