Basic Instinct director set for Pierce Brosnan sequel...
Paul Verhoeven is set to direct The Thomas Crown Affair 2 starring Pierce Brosnan.
Also, Rene Russo will not be in the sequel and instead, the leading lady character's name will be Nadia Badri. The role has yet to be cast.
The film is set in Europe and the Middle East and centers on debonair thief Thomas Crown, who becomes entangled in a centuries-old feud and must decide how much he's truly willing to risk for love.
