[Movies] Terminator 4 Aiming For PG-13 Rating

New flick wants to be kid-friendly...
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is aiming to land a PG-13 rating and be more "kid-friendly." The first three Terminator films were some of the most successful R-rated films ever, but the now producers want to broaden the audience. The hope is that they can maintain film's gritty vision under a PG-13 rating.
"The ratings have changed," said Halcyon co-founder and co-CEO Victor Kubicek, a broker-turned-writer-producer. "The PG-13 has increased in intensity."
This opens the door for more merchandising opportunities including toys.
Christ...the studio testicle-wrangling of McG already rears it's ugly head.
James Cameron would've told these guys to piss off from the word go.

Yes, because AvP did so well with that PG-13 rating.
/sarcasm
I'll wait for the uncensored DVD release. If they don't do that, I guess I'll
catch it on Showtime or Cinemax.

this is not good. maybe if they had gotten Uwe Boll to direct then it would
have been good.

Maybe they are worried that fans of the original 2(3) are to young, with the
original coming out in 1984. WTF are they thinking, any die hard fan of the
series just cried a little at this posting.

I also yearn for the days when James Cameron would have told them to "fuck
off" -- some movies just shouldn't be kid-friendly, and the Terminator
franchise are perfect examples.

Seriously what is it today with making things kid friendly? The new Die Hard,
Terminator 4, hell even the new Mortal Kombat game is going to be rated T for
teen. Mortal Kombat FUCKING T FOR TEEN!
