Iron Man 2, Captain America, Thor, and more!
Following Iron Man's huge weekend box office gross, Marvel announced its movie release schedule through 2011 today.
* June 13th, 2008 - The Incredible Hulk
* April 30th, 2010 - Iron Man 2
* June 4th, 2010 - Thor
* May 6th, 2011 - First Avenger: Captain America
* July 2011 - The Avengers
Ant-Man is also in development but no release date is known yet.
Suck? Have you even seen Iron Man? If anything, I'm amped up for Marvel to start
pumping these out.

"Suck? Have you even seen Iron Man? If anything, I'm amped up for Marvel to

No, no, no. Hear the man out. Clearly he's come back from the future where all
of these films have been released and he's seen them all and thus has a firm
grasp on the level of sucktitude that they may or may not have.

I Really Hope they plan to remake Ghost Rider
Posted By: Stream (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 03:32 PM
why did they leave punisher 2 off the list? and wolverine?
Posted By: Adrian (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 03:35 PM
I don't see Squirrel Girl on the list.
Posted By: JMASCORPIO (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 03:42 PM
obviously they're just pumping out Ant-Man to complete the original Avengers
lineup.
Posted By: JMASCORPIO (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 03:43 PM
Because these are only movies that Marvel Studios are doing, not movies being
made by other companies that hold the film rights to other characters.

We can all thank the success of Spider-Man for this. Iron Man and Captain
America are fine but seriously Ant-Man?! Geez re-do Daredevil before you make
that crap.

i was hoping they were going to make howard the duck 2

IRON MAN MOVIE SPOILER...BE WARNED...
Obviously, they're setting things up so that the build to an Avengers movie
weaves through Hulk, Ant Man, Iron Man 2, and Thor, and ends with Captian
America. This is as it should be because Cap being revived was the whole
catalyst for the Avengers forming in the first place. Expect the Captain
America movie to either end on a major cliffhanger, or perhaps a tease that
could make the one at the end of Iron Man pale in comparison.
I can't freaking wait.

the Avengers formed to fight the Hulk (due to trickery on Loki's part) Cap
didn't show up 'til issue #4.
Posted By: Guest#3939 (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 04:46 PM
i believe bjc was talking about the ultimates (ultimate avengers)
Posted By: Guest#6279 (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 04:58 PM
Captain America huh? cool, Avengers, awesome, Thor you won me.
But Ant-man? really why not giant-man or yellow jacket?
Posted By: Colin (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 05:05 PM
Iron Man 2 and Thor barely a month apart?
Then around two months between Cap and Avengers the next year? Man, Mavel
wants all my money.

That is fantastic news. Unlike the majority of the other studios with rights to
their films (which, as some have asked, is why Punisher 2, Wolverine, any other
Spider-Mans, etc aren't on there), Marvel Studios strongly seems to have a set
game plan: to assemble and unleash the Avengers. If these films are 3/4 as good
as Iron Man, we're in for greatness. Kudos and thank yous to the people involved
in creating this lineup. I'm hyped!

The original Avengers in issue #1 were Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Ant Man...The
Wasp is also in the issue, and they are fighting Loki....so why the Captain
America fuss

As much as a love a good super hero movie, I would much rather see Hollywood
actually produce some good quality ORIGINAL IDEAS. How many more sequels,
remakes (older orinternational films), and movies based off of a already
established franchises are we expected to tolerate.

They should only do Thor if it gets the Peter Jackson epic type of treatment...
Otherwise don't even bother.

OK, just to sum it up. Punisher 2 and Wolverine are not Marvel Studios films.
As well as Gost Rider and Daredevil. So, "Marvel Studios release list of
upcoming movies" means their movies.
Also, to adress an earlier post, it appears the 2 movies in about a month
formula is how they are going to do it, starting with Iron Man into the
Incredible Hulk next month. It does appear as non Marvel Studios films are
lining up for July and september releases.

Marvel STUDIOS made a picture that totally blew every Marvel-based movie made
since the days of Blade and X-Men out of the fucking water.
I'll take a Marvel Studios "Ant-Man" over ALL of the pre-Iron Man
horseshit combined.

I saw Iron Man at the first showing and there was only like 40 minutes of
action
and that was pretty much at the end of the movie. It is still a good movie
but
im looking forward to THE DARK KNIGHT more. CAN'T WAIT TILL JULY 18!!!!!!!!!!!

The original Ant-man, who became Giant Man shortly after the Avengers formed (he
had more money to experiment with Pym particles from the government), is one of
the most important characters in the Avenger history, and one of the most
interesting.

The Avengers movie would be cool. Which Avengers could they use? The Orignal
group maybe: Ant-Man, Wasp, Iron Man, Hulk and Thor.
Or maybe more modern: Iron Man, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel, Captain
America.

One word...two syllables:
DEADPOOL
Make it so, Marvel, make it so!!!!!!!

Guys why are you guys complaining about Antman? I think their gonna make it a
comedy because Simon Peg is going to be Antman. Lets see what happens. Could be
a comedy.
Posted By: Carlos (Guest) on May 05, 2008 at 08:48 PM
Joel. I think you're a little bit overzealous in your praise of
Ant-Man/Yellowjacket/Hank Pym being one of the most important characters in
Marvel history. Basically all he did was go crazy and slap his wife around.

Ant Man could work well but the odds are stacked against it. Avengers and
Captain America may not be that easy either. The more colourful heroes are the
hardest ones to convert.
I am looking forward to Thor a lot. I just hope they don't go for too much
comedy in it though.

whoa, whoa, whoa...
whoever it was that mentioned Luke Cage needs therapy.
