Rapper joins cast...
Rap star Common has joined the cast of Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. He is set to play a freedom fighter and close confidante of John Connor (Christian Bale) in the human resistance against the machines.
The film opens May 22nd, 2009 and producers are trying to secure a PG-13 rating for the film.
LAME! A watered down rating,now a watered down,non-offensive rapper, all to
appeal to kids.I wonder if they can sneak in some Ewoks somehow.T4=Epic Fail!

Good choice. It's not like Common's a five star actor, but he can surely hold
his own.

I've seen Common in a couple of movies. He's not offensively bad, which
automatically makes him one of the better rapper-turned-actors.

It's wierd how Common went from "watered down, non-offensive rapper"
to "Holding a switchblade to the casting directors throat saying 'I wanna
be
Terminator Bee-Yatch!'" I mean, come on, people. Common is pretty much one
of the most level-headed people in Hip-Hop...even with the lime-colored
jumpsuits and kitted sweaters.
With that said, what kind of angle is there to T4? I don't know if Common would
fit in something like this. Yeah, it's good to see him getting roles, but this
just doesn't fit...just like the idea of him playing the John Stewart Green
Lantern.

I couldn't care less about the Terminator franchise anymore, but good to see
Common, a bloody great rapper Sammy, you ignorant a-hole, getting more roles.
