[Movies] Latest On Tom Cruise & Mission: Impossible 4 Posted by Ashish on 05.07.2008
Will it happen?
As we reported earlier, Tom Cruise definitely seems to be back in the running to return for the next Mission: Impossible movie. Viacom parent company chief Sumner Redstone, who had a big falling out with Cruise in 2006, tells Variety that he won't stand in the way of Cruise returning.
"I consider Tom Cruise a great actor and a good friend. And if Paramount decides -- and they will make the decision -- to move ahead with him, I will not object."
Redstone did add, however, that he didn't know if Cruise would be chosen for the film. "That's up to Brad Gray, who runs Paramount," Redstone said. "He will make the decision."

He may be a complete weirdo, but the bottom line is, he's entertaining as an
actor and THAT is what is important in the MOVIE business.

If they choose to do this movie and don't have Tom playing his character, then
can one of you think of a good replacement that would make the movie rock.
