Inglorious Bastards script finished...
Quentin Tarantino has sent off his script for Inglorious Bastards to all the major Hollywood studios except Sony. Harvey Weinstein will produce the film but not finance it.
Deadline Hollywood Daily describes the script as "a Spaghetti Western meets World II film that's an homage to the Dirty Dozen with a story about a group of soldiers on their way to be executed who get the chance of a reprieve."
Tarantino has mentioned that the film might be divided into two parts like Kill Bill and that he hopes to have it out in 2009.

2009? No chance in hell. Tarantino will be distracted by something shiny on the way to the set and it'll set production back for at least six months. Not that I dislike Tarantino, but he has a notoriously short attention span and takes his time in between projects.
2010, maybe. I can believe that.

Quentin, take your time and do it right. This had better be better than Death Proof.
although Kurt Russell was golden in that movie!
