Posted By: theHomewrecker! (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 12:36 AM
no office wins? wow....
someone up there really loves 30 rock, im beginning to think its nothing more than a desperate cry for publicity for that show, as if it needed any more hyping....i think its going to go right up there with Arrested Development as one of the most overrated "underrated" shows that the critics love to gush about.
nice to see john adams win
Posted By: C (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 01:15 AM
wow. dexter was robbed! imo, the best show on tv.
Posted By: hellboysetsfire (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 01:20 AM
The Simpsons are still winning awards???? That is really pathetic
How the hell didn't Dexter win anything.. its the best program to come out of America in years!!!
At least my beloved Southpark won an award for Imaginationland they usually get screwed at the Emmy's.
Posted By: Andrew Barbarash (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 01:32 AM
How can 30 Rock win so many awards when no one in the world is watching? Seeing Tina Fey beg everyone and their mother to tune in just showed that these awards are nothing more than a sham.
Neil Patrick Harris was screwed over. He is the funniest person on television and is always overlooked. How I Met Your Mother also should have been given a shot for best comedy. It is a brilliant show that makes me laugh every time.

people "gush" about arrested development because it was fucking genius
Posted By: sam (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 02:04 AM

Hugh Laurie was robed
Posted By: Guest#2037 (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 02:33 AM
No Dexter or The Office wins??? These awards are simply a popularity contest. Maybe the people making the picks should WATCH everything before making a decision and not ask his/her next door neighbor what he watched last night.
Showtime, NBC keep up the good work. Your fans appreciate it.
Posted By: Scott (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 03:50 AM
The Wire's -30- should have won, such an amazing show that never won big.

Posted By: wrong (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 08:11 AM
Yeah, Arrested Development was awesome... only people with a Red State IQ seem to hate it.
Posted By: YEPPER (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 08:42 AM
and by that logic, i assume everyone with a blue state IQ are the only ones who enjoy House of Payne

No love for Denny Crane?
Posted By: Guest#9599 (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 11:51 AM
I can't believe Michael Emerson got screwed!!!! he plays by far the best villain on tv!!!!
Posted By: Guest#0936 (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 12:15 PM
Someone in the academy must see a lot more in that 30 Rock show than I do. I really haven't enjoyed that show at all when I've seen it.
Posted By: Hawkeye (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 01:53 PM
Dexter not winning anything is a crime.
Also, How I Met Your Mother should have AT LEAST been nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

I'm fucking Ben Affleck got robbed!
Also, Supernatural..
Posted By: Curtis (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 03:41 PM
LOL @ Office fanboys.
That show is going downhill fast. Jim and Pam have become arrogant jerks and they are constantly the focus of the story. 30 Rock may not be super popular but the acting is terrific and it's the funniest show on TV. Don't hate it because you don't watch it and it beat one of your favorite shows. Anyone who gives the show a chance will love it.
Posted By: Leo (Guest) on September 22, 2008 at 03:43 PM
Just proof that the Emmys is the biggest sham since the 2000 election. I never even heard of Breaking Bad. What the fuck is that?
The Office: NOTHING. Dexter: NOTHING. The Colbert Report: SCREWED AGAIN! House: NADA.
30 Rock deserved maybe ONE award, if that. I don't even know people who's NOT on the internet who even like that show. I never watch it, even though I'll admit it's kind of clever. I liked Scrubs better than 30 Rock.
And John Adams? Really? They didn't deserve all those awards. Maybe one for Paul Giamatti and that's it.
And how the FUCK are The Simpsons still getting anything? They haven't been funny in ten fucking years, man!
The Emmys: Biggest Sham Of The Year.
