[Movies] Costner Considering Bull Durham Sequel
Posted by Ashish on 10.07.2008

Kevin Costner is looking to make a sequel to his 1988 film, Bull Durham.

From Page Six:
"Kevin Costner recently met with director Ron Shelton at Trader Vic's in LA to discuss reprising the role of carousing catcher Crash Davis."

"Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are also expected to return as pitcher Nuke LaLoosh and baseball groupie Annie Savoy, who are now married and owners of a Major League team that Costner manages. Kristen Kerr, recently seen on Dexter, is being eyed as one of Crash's love interests, our insider said."

This could be good. Although I have to question the need of a sequel...

Ummm, Crash and Annie were together at the end of Bull Durham. That and this sounds more like Major League 4.

This would make no sense at all. Crash winds up with Annie at the end of Bull Durham. And it was a great movie as is. There's absolutely no need for a sequel, unless Costner is hard up for cash. Seriously, could you ever see sequels for movies like Casablanca? Or Raging Bull? Not that Bull Durham is necessarily in the same department, but it's one of those movies that do not need a sequel. PLEASE Costner, don't do this to yourself. Make Wyatt Earp 2 before reprising Crash Davis.

Hmm.. Nuke and Annie are married. How would Susan and Tim know how that is like?

I'm just concerned about the fact that this will be a far leaning liberal baseball team management. They'll blame George Bush for every loss.

maybe this could be a baseball movie that doesn't suck

If they are gonna do it why not have Crash as manager and Nuke as pitching coach.

I bet you cry everytime you watch Field of Dreams. Except your the catcher in a wheelchair and your sperm donor is throwing underhand for you.

Darth Mortis=Synonym of Gay!
