Can Craven and Williamson recapture the magic of Scream with their new film?
Director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson, creators of the successful Scream franchise, have decided to reunite for a new film titled Cursed.
The horror film, set to be released on August 9th, 2003 by Dimension Films, is a modern werewolf tale set in Los Angeles.
"Kevin wrote a fun, scary and surprise-filled script just like the original ‘Scream,’” Dimension co-chairman Bob Weinstein said in a recent statement. "The only person I could think of to direct it was Wes Craven and I couldn't be more excited to team them up again for what I think is another crowd-pleasing thrill ride."
Weinstein added, "The new twist element here is special effects, because we're determined to show audiences something they've not seen before."
