But the shoplifting charges remain...
Felony drug charges have been dropped against actress Winona Ryder, but charges of shoplifting remain.
The drug charges were dismissed, but Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden Fox said that the shoplifting trial must start by October 24th. The shoplifting charge stems from a December 12th, 2001 incident at Saks Fifth Avenue. The drug charges were a result of two paink8iller Oxycodone tablets being found on Ryder without prescription at the time of arrest.
On the trial, Ryder said the following: "I don't go to trial unless I think I can win."
Ryder is facing charges of grand theft, commercial burglary and vandalism after a Saks Fifth Avenue security guard found her in a dressing room cutting security tags off merchandise.
