Upcoming E.T. DVD To Feature Both Film Versions

The 20th anniversary editions, as well as the original, will be on the DVD...

Universal Pictures, aware of the fact that Steven Spielberg's changes to there-released 20th anniversary edition of E.T. did not go over well, have announced that both the 1982 original and new versions of the film will be part of the upcoming DVD release.

Spielberg made various changes to the updated film, including CGI enhancements to E.T.'s appearance, a new bathtub scene, and editing out police guns and the word "terrorists."
