Columbus tells young stars to go and be kids...
It appears that the 3 young stars of the Harry Potter movies, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), may call it quits after filming for the 3rd installment of the series wraps, according to director Chris Columbus.
"If I were a betting man I'd say they'll probably stop after three," said the director.
The 3 kids, ages 12-13, starred in Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone last year which has gone on to become one of the highest grossing movies in history. The trio will repise their roles in Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets which will open on November 15th but is expected to start filming next March.
The third part, titled Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban will be released sometime in June of 2004.
Columbus has already stated that he will not be directing the 3rd installment, due to getting tired out from his work on the first two.
Columbus said, "If they ask my opinion, my advice would be to go back to being kids."
Meanwhile, Radcliffe told a news conference on Tuesday, "We're all definitely doing the third film. After that, who knows?"
