The Good, Bad, And Sad 10.13.02: And A Bonus RIAA Rant!
Posted by Cody Webster on 10.13.2002

Too many things out there on the RIAA to cover in the regular format, so I lead off with a nifty little rant on them. Enjoy:

The RIAA is a cult full of egomaniacs, these people scream their own name during sex. They would rather blame online music than the lack of quality they put out. If I download shitty filler, why not just forget the CD and download the two hits the album has. If they really cared they would make their CDs more rounded in the first place.

Then they totally forget the nice little extras they could do: Random autographed booklets, concert tickets, a coupon for a free Britney Spears blow job. I mean, you can't get that shit online. Instead they go after music swappers on freakin Verizon! Which turns my stomach in disgust.

Then, get this, RIAA says kids are downloading offensive music. They want the congress to prosecute such file sharing sites. If your child is online without the guidance of an adult you have more to worry about than cuss words in music, your child has probably seen stuff that is so fucked up they'll need a shrink.

Oh, did I forget? Their ads ... people who want to make you buy their crappy music, bad or not, will be in these ads. And really it isn't too hard to boycott these artist, and I'll go over why below.

- Britney Spears: I never listened to her anyway, no prob.
- Brian Wilson: Who?
- Eminem: Like I'd buy an M&M album, please.
- Stevie Wonder: It won't be too hard to turn down some "Best Of" album.
- Shakira: She sings?
- Madonna: Proud to say I've never own one of her albums.
- P.O.D.: Yawn.
- Marilyn Manson: No love lost here.
- 3 Doors Down: Their singing was my krpytonite.
- Barenaked Ladies: Eh, they're canadain
- Elton John: Anyone get the feeling he joined to be near M&M?
- Gene Simmons: I want you ... to die ... all night long.
- Hootie and the Blowfish: Something sure does blow.
- Vanessa Carlton: Die!
- Rush: Not too hard to give up a band you've never heard something from.
- The Wallflowers: In your dreams.

It's just pathetic.

Good:

-Elvis is still the King! Yes, Elvis 25 years after his death led the charts, with ease. The even better news? I got the CD for 9.96 at Wal-Mart. Somewhere out there a stock boy is getting chewed out. *tear drop*

-WWE Anthology 3 CD Set ... enough said, but I'll go on. You get the Fed years with hilights such as: The cool music the Clique made sure they got, Real American, and anything related to Mick Foley. Also, you'll get all those tunes you've long forgotten. As well as wrestle crap favorites: I love You, No Holds Barred Theme, and Walkabout Bushwhackers. Then you got the Attitude years! I got two words for you: Ass Man! And you get other Russo inspired mid-card push themes, like Latino Heat, The Ho Train, Hello Ladies, and Sexual Chocolate. But just for calling in now! You get the now years, which has only one pretty good song, you got it, You Look So Good To Me! Don't delay! Order today! Please, no CODs. Must be 18 or older to call. [/shill]

-Does This Look Infected? Sum 41's new CD has my interest. They say they deliver an old school Metallica metal in it, as well who cannot like a song (yesterday.com) that knocks that bloated tool Anna-Nicole Smith? Anyway, kudos to them for growing up through their music.

Bad:

-Britney Spears masturbates her ego, young children's hearts are broken. It seems Britney visited a hospital recently where she read "Clifford the Big Red Dog," then she got out of that place like greased lightening. A volunteer had this to say, "She left and they were crying. You can't do that to sick children. They're not well, and she made it even worse." What does young Tiny Tim have to show as proof he met Spears? Nothing! No photo, no autograph, and no thong ... that bitch. The part that really irks me is they invited her back. Tiny Tim will get the crap beaten out of him by bullies already for saying he met her once, but twice just might kill him. Shame on you Miss. Spears.

-Jennifer Lopez has denied cheating on Cris Judd while they were married. Judd's father told a tabloid that Lopez cheated on his son several times. How would he know you ask? Because, um, no comment. Also, Cris Judd says he wants to become the next Vin Diesel, me too. :D

-Justin Guarini (2nd place American Idol) has signed a record deal. Do we really need two Justins on the pop scene at once? Sigh. This also makes the American Idol winner look stupid. Not unlike when WWE Tough Enough signs non contract winners to contracts. Blah.

Sad:

-"Lil' Romeo and Lil' Juliet," the new movie starring Lil' Romeo, and produced by Master P (his father). Its bad enough when Rappers steal each others songs, but stealing from Shakespeare? If that isn't sad, I don't know what is. Talking about stealing ...

-Toni Braxton is accusing Jay-Z of stealing her idea to sample Tupac's song, then I'll accuse both of stealing from a dead man. Nothing pisses me off more when someone else takes a shot at a song that is already a success. Come on guys, grow up and just improve on your filler.

-Pepsi has confirmed it is to drop Gareth Gates as the face of its brand. Mainly sad due to the possibility of Britney returning. Someone think about the children!

-Britney Spears, Bono, No Doubt, Tom Petty, Dave Matthews Band, Sheryl Crow, Chuck D, Steven Tyler, Denis Leary, Dennis Hopper, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and many others will all pay tribute to Elvis Presley on an upcoming NBC special titled Elvis Lives. Too bad they couldn't get any real stars.

Until Adam Cankaya doesn't kicks all kinds of ass on the newsboard, Cody Webster.
