Hellbilly Deluxe 2 – Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool
Five Finger Death Punch's guitarist Zoltan Bathory has allegedly went missing in Las Vegas, NV. The group posted the following update on the situation:
"We have not been able to locate Zoltan from 5FDP since Friday night's show in Las Vegas. He has not responded to calls, text messages, or emails, and he was last seen around 2:00am Friday night at Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Casino, taking tequila shots at the bar with a group of guys from a bachelor party who came to the show. If anybody has any information as to the whereabouts of Zoltan, please email ffdp@prospectpk.com immediately. This is not like him and the band needs to prepare for the upcoming tour. We have already notified the appropriate authorities, but any help Vegas fans might be able to provide is very much appreciated. Thank you. 5FDP"
Personally, I don't believe it for a second. It's way too much like The Hangover. Plus, why would they put an email address instead of a phone number, like to the Las Vegas police or a missing persons line. It sounds much too much like the band is trying to stir up some extra marketing for their album. The group is set to release their new disc War Is The Answer on Tuesday.
Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan recently teamed up with Jeff Fayman and King Crimson's Robert Fripp for a cover of the latter's track, "21st Century Schizoid Man". A preview of the track can be found here, while the song itself is available through most digital outlets. The cover is expected to show up on a new compilation effort being put together by The Human Experimente, dubbed Dreaming In Exile, which is due out in 2010.
Rob Zombie revealed the track list for his upcoming new album Hellbilly Deluxe 2 – Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool, due out November 10:

Relapse will be reissuing Suffocation's 2005 live outing, The Close Of A Chapter: Live In Quebec City, on October 27.
The Melvins is gearing up to release an LP version of their Nude With Boots album on November 3. In the meantime, the band will release their new 15 song remix effort, Chicken Switch on September 29.
Vincent Bennett of The Acacia Strain and Emmure's Frankie Palmeri came to blows at a show in Clifton Park, NY, a confrontation seemingly long in the works considering the pair's long running beef. The most public volley of the feud has perhaps been Emmure's track, "R2 Deepthroat", which was allegedly aimed specifically at Bennett. While fan reports of the altercation have been varied, Bennett himself took to his official Twitter account and made the following posts:
"The internet is abuzz. Did i get beat up? Nope! Did i hang the fuck out? Yes!" "Really though. We traded blows. Thats it. We shook hands and ended it. As far as i am concerned the "beef" between us is done."
In addition to the standard edition, Rammstein is planning a deluxe edition of their upcoming new album Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da on October 20. The new version of the outing will feature the following five bonus tracks:
The band's new video for their single "Pussy" can be seen here. Please note that it is sexually explicit. Viewer discretion is advised.
Goo Goo Dolls tentatively titled their upcoming new album Something For The Rest of Us. No release date has been announced.
Initial details have surfaced for the upcoming deluxe edition of Between The Buried And Me's new opus The Great Misdirect. The outing will come in digipak packaging with expanded artwork and sport a bonus 45 minute DVD, presumably documenting the making of the album. The Great Misdirect will land in stores on October 27.
AFI revealed the track list for their upcoming new album Crash Love, due out September 29:

The album will see a November 3 release.
HORSE the band is offering an extensive ten bonus tracks to those who purchase their new album Desperate Living. The bonus material being offered is as follows:

The Company Band (Clutch, CKY, Fireball Ministry, Fu Manchu) set a November 10 release for their self-titled full-length debut. A digital single will precede it next month featuring the track "It's A Confusing World" along with an exclusive cover of Bachman-Turner Overdrive's "Not Fragile". Sessions for the outing took place earlier this year in Los Angeles, CA with producer/engineer Andrew Alekel (Queens Of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters) at the helm. Speaking on the effort, band drummer Jess Margera offered the following:
"It was pretty awesome to get everyone into a studio together and make this record. I never thought it would happen given that everyone has insanely crazy touring schedules. But sure enough the results turned out amazing. It was a strange reality for me, personally, as I am a huge fan of Fireball Ministry, Clutch and Fu Manchu. So to be in a room playing drums with members of all those bands was kind of unbelievable."
The 10" vinyl pressing of their debut EP Sign Here, Here, And Here was bumped back to an October 27 release. The outing will feature exclusive artwork and will be limited to 1000 hand numbered copies worldwide.
The Canadian release of Protest The Hero's new live CD/DVD outing Gallop Meets The Earth has been pushed back as a result of manufacturing defect. The effort will now see a September 29 release.
Powerman 5000 revealed the track list for their upcoming new album Somewhere on the Other Side of Nowhere, due out October 6:
1. "Intelligent Creatures" 2. "Show Me What You've Got" 3. "Super Villain" 4. "V Is For Vampire" 5. "Do Your Thing" 6. "Somewhere On The Other Side Of Nowhere" 7. "Time Bomb" 8. "Get Your Bones" 9. "Make Us Insane" 10. "Technology Eats Its Young" 11. "Horror Show"
Smashing Pumpkins have titled their upcoming new album Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. The album will contain 44 tracks and they will be released a song at a time beginning around Halloween of this year, with each new release coming shortly after until all 44 are out. Each song will be made available absolutely for free, to anyone anywhere.
They will however sell highly limited edition EP's (of 4 songs each times 11), and details of how those EP's are expected to be worked out sometime soon. Because the songs themselves will be free, the EP's will be more like collectors items for the discerning fan who will want the art itself, along with the highest possible audio quality available.
The story of the album is based on "The Fool's Journey", as signified in the progress of the Tarot. The music of Teargarden by Kaleidyscope harkens back to the original psychedelic roots of The Smashing Pumpkins: atmospheric, melodic, heavy, and pretty.
Korn allegedly rejected former guitarist Brian "Head" Welch's bid to rejoin the band. James "Munky" Shaffer said,
"Brian actually contacted us recently and wanted to come back to the band. And it was not the right time… for us. We're doing well, and it's kind of like… It's kind of like if you divorced your wife and she went on and she stayed successful and her career flourished, and you go back and (say), ‘My gosh, she's still hot.' ‘Baby, can we get back together?' ‘Wait a minute… All the stuff's been divided, and it's like… I don't see it happening right now. It's not gonna happen right now."
Brian "Head" Welch responded to Korn's claims:
"I recently learned of an interview that Munky gave where he said that I came to Korn and asked to be taken back in the band. That's definitely not a complete and accurate picture.
The full truth is that for about a year, ever since Jonathan publicly said he wanted me back in Korn, Korn's managers have been requesting my manager to work on getting me back into Korn. The calls were initiated by Korn's managers, not my manager.
I shut the door on their requests many, many times over the last several months, through my manager. However, Fieldy personally called me during Korn's last tour in Europe and we talked as friends for a long time. He also told me if I ever wanted to rejoin Korn, or open for Korn as a solo artist, the door was always open.
Since Fieldy is sober now and a Christian like me, I thought it may be a good idea to visit with Fieldy, a friend of mine, to see what he was up to and what it was all about.
I had a great time reconnecting with Fieldy. I mainly went to his house to connect with an old friend. The Korn stuff we talked about was secondary, but it was discussed. Fieldy thought that Jonathan, Munky, and I should all meet AS FRIENDS; reconnect; and maybe discuss the possibilities. Both Jonathan and Munky refused that meeting.
I learned a lot visiting with Fieldy. I learned that I love and miss my friends, but the visit confirmed to me that I have a different calling in life than to reconnect musically/professionally.
As far as Munky's comment that ‘everything has been divided already,' that is also not accurate. In fact, from January 2005 when I left, and for the next four years, Korn failed to pay to me royalties that were due to me on records that I did with them. However, I don't believe this was done intentionally.
We are trying to be patient and work with their management to get the financial issues resolved so that ‘everything can be divided as we agreed long ago in our contracts.' I am optimistic that we can resolve it as friends.
I continue to wish nothing but the best for Korn, and that includes all of my friends there — Fieldy, Jonathan and Munky."

The show will take place at the House Of Blues in Cleveland, OH on December 27 with opening acts as yet to be announced.
