Chin Moreno) 10 - "My Gift to You" (live at Woodstock '99) 11 - "One More Time" 12 - "Y'all Want A Single" 13 - "All In The Family"
Disc 3: 01 - "Twist" 02 - "Chi" 03 - "Did My Time" 04 - "Freak On A Leash" 05 - "Another Brick In The Wall (Parts 1, 2, 3)" (Pink Floyd cover) 06 - "Alone I Break" 07 - "Make Me Bad" 08 - "Clown" 09 - "No Place To Hide" 10 - "Dirty" (live) 11 - "Faget" 12 - "Play Me" (feat. Nas) 13 - "Jingle Balls"
Korn also revealed the track listing for the first in a series of new digital EP's the band plan to release exclusively to premium members of their official website, www.korn.com. Due out on September 28, Korn Digital EP #1 will shape up as follows:
01 - "Korn 11" (instrumental demo from the new album) 02 - "Starting Over" (early demo) (Jonathan Davis and Atticus Ross) 03 - "Another Brick In The Wall" (Pink Floyd cover) (extended version) (live at the Quart Festival in Kristiansand, Norway July 3rd 2009)
As previously reported, the band is hard at work on their new album as of late with producer Ross Robinson (Slipknot, At The Drive-In).
Mnemic is now plotting a January 2010 release for their new album Sons Of The System. The group recently began recording sessions for the new effort with producer Tue Madsen (Behemoth, The Haunted) and have issued the following update: "After a minor two-year break from touring, we have returned to the studio to record 15 brand new tracks. Our batteries are re-charged and we are extremely excited to let you all hear the new stuff. The material itself is a mixture of grind, rock, poly-rhythmics, and electronics, and represents the sound of a more mature MNEMIC - at least in our humble opinion. Compared to the last album, the recordings will be kept completely on Danish soil. This time, we are more within our own comfort zone and will be working with the same dude that made us two great sounding albums in the past, which is none other than Tue Madsen [Halford, Behemoth, Kataklysm, The Haunted], who is a really good friend and a great producer. The drums will be tracked at Antfarm Studio, while guitars, bass and vocals will be immortalized at the band's own studio under Tue's supervision. At the end of the recording process, electronics, mix and mastering will then again be handled at Antfarm Studio. During the recording process, we will try to keep you all updated on the progress via SonsOfTheSystem.com. There will be tons of updates, pictures, videos and information directly from the band - stay in-tune!"
Devin Townsend is readying his new Devin Townsend Project album Addicted for a November 17 release. The effort will see Townsend share the vocal duties with Anneke van Giersbergen, formerly of The Gathering. In addition, plans to tour in early 2010 in support of the effort and the rest of Townsend's 'solo' back catalogue are currently in the works.
The track listing has been revealed for The Company Band's (Clutch, CKY, Fireball Ministry, Fu Manchu) upcoming self-titled debut which is set for a November 10 release:
01 - "Zombie Barricades" 02 - "It's A Confusing World" 03 - "Djinn And Pentatonic" 04 - "Inline Six" 05 - "Hot Topic Woman" 06 - "All's Well In Milton Keynes" 07 - "Who Else But Us?" 08 - "CD&W" 09 - "Love Means Never Having To Say You're Ugly" 10 - "Lethe Waters"
It will be preceded by a digital single for the track "It's A Confusing World" sometime next month. The single will be backed by a bonus cover of Bachman-Turner Overdrive's "Not Fragile". As previously reported, a 10" vinyl pressing of the band's debut EP Sign Here, Here, And Here is also in the cards and will see an official October 27 release.
Live front-man Ed Kowalczyk confirmed that he is indeed working on his first solo album with producer CJ Eiriksson (Blue October, U2). No projected release date has been set. Live is currently on hiatus.
Chiodos let frontman Craig Owens go from the band. The official statement from the remaining members of the band reads as follows: "To all of our friends, family, and fans: We would like to let you know that we have let Craig Owens go as the singer of Chiodos. This decision was a necessary one. Out of respect for all of the hard work that we have put in together for all of these years we will not be discussing the specific reasons that this needed to happen. We wish Craig well . We will absolutely be continuing on as a band and we will keep you informed as this next chapter unfolds. Chiodos fans are the best fans in the world and all we can ask of you, after everything you have already given us, is to share in our excitement for this next album. We promise you will not be disappointed............Brad, Jason, Pat, and Matt"
Marilyn Manson's live DVD outing Guns God And Government - Live In L.A. will see a release on Blu-Ray on November 17. The new high definition version of the outing will feature the footage of the Los Angeles performance in question. As opposed to the previous DVD iteration, which featured a collage of footage from the band's touring at the time set to the audio from the Los Angeles show.
The Used released a new limited edition DVD entitled The Beginning: The Used Music Video Collection exclusively through their official website, www.theused.net. As the title implies, the outing features the bands official music videos for the following tracks:
01 - "A Box Full of Sharp Objects" 02 - "The Taste of Ink" 03 - "Buried Myself Alive" 04 - "Take It Away" 05 - "All That I've Got" 06 - "I Caught Fire" 07 - "The Bird & The Worm" 08 - "Pretty Handsome Awkward" 09 - "Blood On My Hands"
Following the news of him recently going "missing", Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory magically resurfaced: "Hey everybody-we found Zoltan!! We just talked to him and although he sounded somewhat incoherent he says he'll be fine and the tour will start as planned tomorrow!! Sorry if he worried anyone! 5FDP"
The band's new album War Is The Answer saw a release last week.
Weezer delayed their upcoming new album Raditude one week from October 27 to November 3.
Cancer Bats tracked a cover of the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" during the ongoing recording sessions for their new album Bears, Mayors, Scrapes And Bones. It is presently unsure whether or not the cover will surface on the band's new album or as a bonus track further down the line. More on that can be found here.
The Lostprophets set a January 11, 2010 overseas release date for their new album The Betrayed. The ten track outing was produced by band bassist Stuart Richardson and will be preceded by an overseas single release for the song, "It's Not The End Of The World, But I Can See It From Here", on October 12. No word yet on North American release plans.
Flyleaf revealed the track list for their upcoming new album Memento Mori:
1. "Beautiful Bride" 2. "Again" 3. "Chasm" 4. "Missing" 5. "This Close" 6. "The Kind" 7. "In The Dark" 8. "Set Apart This Dream" 9. "Swept Away" 10. "Tiny Heart" 11. "Melting" (interlude) 12. "Treasure" 13. "Circle" 14. "Arise" Deluxe Tracks: 1. "Break Your Knees" 2. "Enemy" 3. "Have We Lost" 4. "Who Am I"
Flyleaf delayed their upcoming new album Memento Mori again, this time from October 27to November 10.
Through The Eyes Of The Dead chosen Skepsis as the title to their new album, which will see a release in the coming months. The band is currently finishing up tracking the outing and band guitarist Justin Longshore offered the following update: "The recording process for SKEPSIS has been going really well. We really focused on writing a record that will satisfy fans of our previous two records along with pushing new boundaries. Danny is currently finishing up vocal tracking and we couldn't be any more satisfied with the way things are sounding. I'm really stoked for everyone to hear these new songs."
Nine Inch Nails announced that they are planning an "ultimate reissue" of their two disc album The Fragile, an effort which recently saw its 10th anniversary. While further details on what the reissue will include were not offered, a 2010 release date has been intimated.
Foo Fighters revealed the track list to their upcoming greatest hits album, due out November 3:
1. "All My Life" 2. "Best Of You" 3. "Everlong" 4. "The Pretender" 5. "My Hero" 6. "Learn To Fly" 7. "Times Like These" 8. "Monkeywrench" 9. "Big Me" 10. "Breakout" 11. "Long Road To Ruin" 12. "This is a Call" 13. "Skin and Bones" 14. "Wheels" 15. "Word Forward" 16. Everlong (acoustic)"
The record features two new songs including "Word Forward" and "Wheels", the latter of which is the single from the set. And it kind of sucks, comparatively. You can listen to a stream of it in the Listeners' Lounge section above. And I would have liked to have seen "Stacked Actors".

Muse performed their new single "Uprising" on an Italian TV show. Italy is a place of weird shit, like the Pope and wine.
The band was told to lip sync "Uprising". Rather than trying to argue the matter, lead singer and guitarist Matthew Bellamy decided to fake the drums while the real drummer Dominic Howard took on vocal duties. Bassist Christopher Wolstenholme "played" the guitar and keyboards. While I'm not a huge fan of Muse, this is pretty hilarious, none the less.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is with much pain that I announce that I am stepping down from penning All You Cannot Live Without, at the end of the year. It's been a solid four years, full of memorable moments and meeting some amazing people, but I've decided to move on with my literary aspirations, within 411Music. I've done a lot of "soul searching" and processing, and I feel it's best for myself, for the column, and for the zone. It definitely sucks to even say this, and I've been trying to figure out how to do it for about six weeks now. In the end, though, it is just best if I come out and say it now.
However, I'm not leaving you without being in good hands. Chris Crowing, who is currently teaching us the alphabet in band names (and doing a fantastic job at that), will be stepping in and taking the reins from me after the new year. He's extremely talented and I can't think of anyone better to breathe new life into the best news report on the site, hands down.
I appreciate the love (and hate) and support everyone has shown me since I first started writing this column. I will miss it, and on Sundays, it will itch at my brain like a severed limb that's been gone for years. It will always be a part of me, and so will you.
Affectionately yours, Ben "Chumpkowski" Czajkowski
Addendum: I've appreciated all the comments and emails from everyone. Please note that I am not leaving the site. I am just changing my role :-)
Ive always looked foward to this article late Sunday nights one of my favs on this site. Good Luck Ben. Oh yeah and Alice In Chains and AFI what a great week for music.

"The effort will see Townsend share the vocal duties with Anneke van Giersbergen, formerly of The Gathering."
Dude, I need to find a pre-order link, like, right now...
And Ben, it really, REALLY sucks to see you leave this behind. I enjoyed the hell out of this report ever since i started reading it near the beginning. If Chris is even half as thorough and hard-working on this piece as you were, then we should be okay. No offense to Chris, though, but he's got some big shoes to fill.

Very big shoes to fill indeed. Definitely has been one of the best columns on the site. Hope Chris can keep up the same quality--but that's no easy task.

First Diamonds in the Rough, now this? Who am I gonna get my rock news from, Wilcox?
Thanks for all the excellent work Ben. You were pretty much my number one source for rock news this last couple of years.

It's been real man. This is the only place I go to check release dates, tour dates, news on good bands, etc. Other than a couple of band specific sites, this has been it for at least a couple of years. Nobody else puts it all in one place like this. Glad to see you're stayin through 2009 though. I hope life brings you great things

Definitely gonna miss this column. I know you'll still be around 411, but I counted on this column for my rock and metal news every week. Oh well, looking forward to seeing what you're up to next.

This is how the world will end, not with a boom, but with a fizzle.
Fo' shizzle.

Propagandhi are coming to Ireland. Sweet.
Erm.. didn't Korn already release a Greatest Hits? 2010 might be a good time to finally pick up the Fragile by NIN..

Keep in mind that I am not leaving; I'm just moving on to other endeavors within the zone. Rest assured, whatever I do, it will will be rock/metal themed :)
Thank you all for the kind words. Again, Chris Crowing is more than capable to fill my shoes. I have complete confidence in him, and you all should too :)
