A potential feud has been developing on Twitter between All That Remains' Phil Labonte and Shadows Fall's Brian Fair. The altercation started with Labonte's tweet:
"Sweet, Brian from shadows fall was trying to fuck my girlfriend tonight. Thanks to Ivan from 5FDP for sticking up for me. So much 4 home <3."
Mudvayne made their new song "Beautiful And Strange" available online in streaming audio form here.
For the most part, it's better than anything off of The New Game, which really gives me hope.
Also, Mudvayne chose their track "Scream With Me" to serve as the first single from their upcoming new self-titled album. The song will impact at radio on November 17, while the album is slated for a December 22 release. The band will be using a black light reactive ink for all of the art and text in the packaging of the record, making it only visible with a black light. Drummer Matt McDonough describes Mudvayne as "the best the band has recorded since our second album, The End Of All Things to Come", and it will be released in three different formats. Those being a standard edition, a deluxe version packaged with a black light and a super deluxe edition that features a larger black light, a special edition black light reactive poster and more.

Summarily a number of other musicians and individuals have since reposted the tweet, while Metal Sucks themselves have replied via Twitter saying: "We are HORRIFIED and are investigating right now. If Shaun is really responsible, he will be dealt with swiftly."
The promotional copies of album were said to carry a watermarking technology which allowed the leaked copy to be traced back to the one assigned to Hand. No word yet if legal action will be taken, or if the public airing of the matter will be the end of the situation. Axe To Fall will land in stores on October 20.

Machine Head is in the studio as of late tracking a cover of Pantera's "Fucking an upcoming Pantera tribute CD being put together by an undisclosed U.K metal magazine. The CD is said to feature a number of current scene heavyweights covering tracks from the Pantera's back catalogue. Band frontman/guitarist Robb Flynn had the following to say about the sessions and the bands current downtime: "Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. After 2 1/2 years of touring we're (finally) 2 months into a 3 month break, and let me tell you, it's been awesome!!! I've been out camping / wakeboarding a TON, Adam is taking flying lessons and just did his first brief solo flight, Dave's hanging in Alameda enjoying his new Yamaha drum kit (amazing!) and was hanging in L.A. with the Korn dudes and his long time buddy Ross Robinson, and Phil was most recently Best Man at his best friend Shack's wedding. We've also found time to hop into Trident Studios with Juan Urteaga and record a Pantera tune for a b-side. We're doing FUCKING HOSTILE!!! Dave is done with drums (nailed it on the 2nd take!), and I finished guitars yesterday and got vocals in the bag. Phil comes in tomorrow, then Adam, then it'll be mixed and mastered by the end of the week. Mike Sloat has been documenting, so we'll probably have video snippets up when the whole thing gets closer to release."
