The single samples the Rocky beat and is a great track.

T-Pain-Lil Wayne Collab Not Happening
T-Pain recently dropped his latest album rEVOLVEr on Tuesday and during the promotion of the album was asked about the often talked about collab album with him and Lil Wayne, Pain let loose that the album had been cancelled.
"When [Wayne] got into his litte trouble, that was right at the peak of when we was like, OK, let's go. Let's do this now.' He finally had time, then he went to jail," said Pain, who has about eight or nine songs in the vault. "Things happen and I'm pretty sure he's over the whole idea now. I don't even be bringing it up to him no more. I'm pretty sure he's way past that right now. He's doing big things."
While many people are glad the album never happened, I actually would have liked to hear the project in that I think the two bring out the best in each other. A whole album of both of them full of just party type tracks would have been good. In any event I think that the album will eventually happen, but it may be a couple years before it does.
Nicki Minaj Releases First Single Off Album
Late last week Nicki Minaj let loose the teaser single off her upcoming album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in "Roman in Moscow".
Speaking with MTV News, the Harajuku Barbie spoke on the track, where she raps from the perspective of her alter-ego Roman Zolanski. "'Roman in Moscow' is like a teaser to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which will drop on Valentine's Day," she said. "When I say it's a teaser, it's like a trailer to the movie, it's like setting the stage and I just wanted to touch the surface. It's the wackest thing on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded."
"Well, he was there [in Moscow] secretly because [alter ego] Martha wanted him to go there, so they put him in this thing with monks and nuns; they were trying rehabilitate him," she continued. "But I can't tell exactly what happened, you'll just see it in the video format, but let's just say he got out of there."
Listening to the track, it is actually a good track from Minaj and don't really understand this whole Roman alter ego thing. It sounds like Nicki Minaj to me and her style or content has not changed that much. Minaj and Young Money really seem to have everything going right for Minaj, in that they have released a teaser single 2.5 months before the album to start the build and will continue to build momentum until the 14th. Too many times artists release singles months or even years before their album comes out, which really defeats the purpose. The single should help you built momentum to seel your album.
B.o.B. T.I. Collab Happening
Keeping on the news of collaborations, the teaming of Atlanta rappers T.I. and B.o.B. appears to be in full swing with B.o.B confirming that they two have officially started work on the album.
B.o.B revealed the news during an interview with HOT 97's Angie Martinez and DJ Enuff.
"Me and Tip working on The Man & The Martian project It's a collab album. You know, just something to have fun with. We actually have several songs," said B.o.B in a video posted on HipHop-N-More.com. "We actually have been talking about this for a while. Now that he's back and we got time to record it's a lot easier to manifest."
This could be an interesting combination as although they are both from Atlanta, both rappers have their own different styles. The two men are good friends and have actually got into the studio together to work on the project, which again bodes well for the chemistry and overall cohesiveness of the album. I feel that actually getting artists in the studio to work together is something that has been lost since the addition of email. While email is good for dropping guest verses, sometimes you lose part of the collaboration process that way.
While no release date for the album has been set it will likely be released after both T.I. and B.o.B. release their new solo albums both rumored to be released in March.

What I Am Listening To
I had the chance to check out the latest album from The ROOTS, and I must say that I was blown away. I have been an off and on fan of theirs for years and didn't really give this album much thought due to the fact that it was slated to be a concept album, but after listening to it I must say it is one of the top releases of the year. It is highly recommended and hopefully I can get a full review up for the site shortly.
I read hat Hip Hop DX gave the Roots a perfect score. I'll have to hear it whenever I get back into Hip Hop again

Glad T-Wayne isn't happening. Shit ran it's course, and a full length album of autotune and Wayn's incoherent/non-sensical rapping is overkill. T-Pain by himself here and there is always good for a couple nice party tracks though.
