GREETINGS, SLUT-MONKEYS!

Last week, when I told you all about Dave & Ray getting tossed out of the Source, I told you "don't expect them to go away quietly", especially Ray Benzino, who now no longer has an outlet to promote his trash music. To say that "Dave & Ray ain't going away quietly" is like saying "The Source lost a few bucks and a some readers during Dave & Ray's watch", because lo and behold, Ray Benzino was recently interviewed by AllHipHop.com whining, moaning, bitching, and cussing up a storm about his current predicament.

Before I get started, a little warning. I suggest that you not eat or drink anything while reading this interview. The overwhelming level of ignorance displayed in this interview is enough to make you lose composure and laugh uncontrollably. In fact, this is just as unintentionally hilarious as CL Smooth's post-breakup interview with AllHipHop.com....you know: "I love you Pete, but MAKE MY BEATS, FAGGOT!" I know you remember that one.

These are some of the highlights from the Benzino interview:

...You got a situation where you got a whole bunch of people trying to basically give their, I mean it's a situation where Black Enterprises (the magazine that currently distributes the Source) is a Black uppity-ass n***as, okay? Who don't know about Hip-Hop, you got a whole culture of these writers or these people just stay in the f**king house don't even know what it is to be in f**king society as a f**king normal human being. Who basically just want to see me and Dave fall. Like this Jeremy Miller (former founder of DOWN Magazine and current Source owner), that's like Dave's "son," just like Elliott Wilson (that Yellow Nigga from XXL) and Mimi , they all came up through The Source magazine...

...Without The Source there is no XXL, there is no f**king AllHipHop.com, there is no Ozone, there's none of that without The Source. You understand what I'm saying. The Source around since 1988 - documented. We been covering the politics of it, the music of it, everything about it. There's nothing bigger than The Source. It's an institution. These mother f**kers don't know nothing about the culture. All they want to do is try to reap the f**king benefits.

...They had a clause in their contract that said that if the company went in default they could add two board members. They add two board members, now they control the board. I'm a street n***a, you know what I'm saying. I don't f**king know about no board s**t. I never went to one board meeting. I'm not a board n***a, I'm a street n***a and a sharp n***a. When Zino brought something, when we did the f**king Source Awards, we brought the ‘hood to TV. He wants to represent the ‘hood there's, there's no award show representing the ‘hood. It's almost like people are embarrassed to be a part of the ‘hood, but want to benefit from the economics from the ‘hood. Enough of that, know what I'm saying, enough of that. That's why Russell Simmons, Steve Stoute, Chris Lighty, all these coward a** n***as have to run around with f**king security. These n***as don't rap, what the f**k is their excuse for running around with security?

....Those cheap mother f**kers . They always been clowns from day one, man. They always been guys that never could be accepted so like this is like their revenge right here. Watching me and Dave in the newspaper getting ousted in The Source. But, guess what, I'm coming back, yo. I'm coming back and I might come back on a f**king horse...I'm coming back in on a f**king horse.

...I was on the cover holding a gun with a f**king Adidas sweatsuit with some Cazals on, cuz. I had a hit record with "Rock The Party. I been on Motown Records, I been across the country performing, cuz. I done f**ked some of the baddest b**ches in the industry, cuz.

...We gotta first get this monopoly strangle-hold off of Hip-Hop and recognize who are the perpetrators of that. We got to recognize that this isn't just a product, this is a culture of people. And it's f**ked it all up, a f**ked up a culture of people. This just isn't music where it's music, this controls our every day living. And it's f**ked up the lives of a lot of mother f**king kids. I think the internet is being very irresponsible the way people can just post messages up and say anything and somebody spew any kind of hate.
It's a whole bunch of s**t. Radio personalities become more bigger than the artists they're playing, like it's all out of control. You know like there's a lot of people responsible for it.

...Son, you're not listening to me. You're not listening to me, man. I'm coming back on a f**king horse, man. There is no "what if.." or "If me and Dave ain't.." Hey, if you want the exclusive I'm telling you what the f**k it is man. I'm coming back up there and heads are rolling. You know what I'm saying, Jeremy or anybody else they got up there. I'm telling you what it is. There's no "if me and Dave don't." When me and Dave are back in power, I'm coming back on a f**king horse.

...like I stepped my game 100%, set up like on my music, too you understand? And like my new album when I drop it, know what I'm saying is gonna f**k a lot of n***as up. Like a lot of n***as think that they're so lyrical or think that they make great songs. I'm about to f**k up a lot of n***as up, man. F**k how old I am, f**k everything else, like I said the other day, there's a whole bunch of n***as in the game that are in the 35 to 40 year old realm that are running Hip-Hop. That's the age. It is what it is. Guess what? I can still f**king f**k with a 21-year-old real n***a and f**king be shoulder to shoulder with him. That's what the difference is.

...Let people know the name is Zino the Great, all right?...Benzino the Great. I'm coming in a f**king horse. Oh and please put that thing about my lawyers are so great, that Jeff and f**king Jeremy will be doing Honey magazine in Alaska, okay. They'll be printing magazines in Alaska. So, tell them to dress warm.

Now, I could pick bits and pieces of this interview apart and tell you all the things that are straight up bullshit. I could make some BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN references with Dave and Zino on a "fuckin' horse". But you know what? The interview speaks for itself. What else can be said about Benzino that hasn't already been shown here? So get a good laugh at Benzino's expense and read the rest of the interview at AllHipHop.com!

The latest issue of SCRATCH Magazine just hit stores, with two different covers, one with the Artist Formerly Known As Prince Rakeem (a.k.a. The RZA), and the other with Juvie and Mannie. Rza is hard at work on Raekwon's upcoming sequel to ONLY BUILT A CUBAN LINX, and doing to get our expectations up. Juvie and Mannie talk about the deterioration of Cash Money and their upcoming projects, and Prince Paul talks about the difference between a Producer and a Beatmaker, as well as the importance of the album skit. Also, the duo of Young RJ and Black Milk, collectively known as BR GUNNA, gets the spotlight for their work producing Slum Village in J-Dilla's place.

They also interview J-Swift, best known for hooking up the first Pharcyde album. Aside from discussing his falling out with the group, he talks about his addiction to crack, his failed attempt at a reality show, and his upcoming album, NEGRO KNIEVEL.

This Sunday, millions of people will have the opportunity to know who J-Zone is. He's made a song called "Cash In The Bank" for a Sprint commercial that will be aired during the Superbowl. The whole song will be available at the Sprint store soon, and downloadable as a ringtone.

Aside from the fact that this man is a dope beatmaker, the one thing I like about J-Zone is the fact that he's keeping the art of storytelling alive. You could tell he's listened to a lot of Ice Cube and Eazy E when he was coming up. He's done some humorous shit, and not in no "throw-punchlines-to-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks" kind of way. You should check his stuff out. You won't be disappointed.

Easy Moe B, Lord Finesse and many others are planning on suing Sean Combs over unpaid royalties for their work on the first two Notorious BIG albums. Some people may see this as a bunch of past-their-prime bitter old men trying to ‘hate on Puff'. To those people, I say, ‘EAT A DICK!' There is so much evidence of Puff being a backstabbing, greedy-ass leech that it's stupid that people still have any semblance of respect for him. Really, if it would've been a WHITE MAN telling those 'Making The Band' members to walk to the other side of town to get him some fuckin' CHEESECAKE, people would call him a racist. But it's Puff, so I guess it's okay, right? Fuck that. I hope these guys break him. I hope they sue him for every single penny he's got. By the way, the original Easy Moe B-produced version of Big's "Dead Wrong" trumps every single attempt that Puff has had in remixing it! Not only should Puff pay them people what they're owed, he needs to release Big's PRAYING FOR MY DOWNFALL demo---devoid of lame-ass remix attempts, uninspired guest appearances, and wack R&B chorus singers, and then give all the money to the people who actually worked on that shit.

Remember a while back when Bow Wow talked about Will Smith's career by calling him a ‘gimmick' and trying to discredit him as an actor (this during the release of his shitty ROLL BOUNCE movie which no one saw)? Of course, those that did hear about it laughed it off. I mean, a kiddie rapper calling someone else a GIMMICK? Please.

Will was recently asked about this at a Philly radio station and this is what he said:

"A grown man don't answer to no child. I'm a grown ass man. I cut records before his momma let somebody cut to have him. My worst movie (Wild Wild West) grossed almost twice as your best movie (Like Mike). Check the records and read a book young man."

I don't think anything else needs to be said about that.

Remember Rampage The Last Boyscout? After years of being MIA, he's resurfaced with a new song called "Ball All Day". It's the usual radio pandering stuff.

Now people my say, "WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT RAMPAGE? HE'S WACK!!" Despite all that talk about how ‘wack' he is, I never thought he was THAT bad. He had this one song on Rowdy Records that was pretty dope (I forgot the title of that song), and he did represent on Craig Mack's "Flava In Ya Ear Remix" and Busta's "Abandon Ship". In fact, his first album, SCOUT'S HONOR BY WAY OF BLOOD did have some gems in it. The problem is, he's got the potential, he just needed to find a nitch for himself. You can't just be the relative of a famous rapper for your whole career, you know. That's why I have respect for Del The Funky Homosapien for going from "Del: Ice Cube's Cousin" to "Del: Leader of the Hieroglyphics". He should get away from his brother Busta and find his own path. Anyway, his new stuff is supposed to have some Neptune beats in it, so that's not going to happen any time soon.

Blaq Poet of the Screwballs is coming out with an album entitled, REWIND: DEJA SCREW. The album has some goodies from Alchemist, Easy Moe B, and DJ Premier himself. Some of the Premier cuts have already been released, though, like "Message from Poet", where he calls out all the rappers that are beefin' with each other and tells them to quit that shit. Yeah, Poet could've done better, but still, this beef shit is so tired. There was once a time when I liked a good Hip-Hop beef. Now, it's become such a cliche. Look Cam'ron....just handle your business, man. You got an album coming out. Jigga got too much to do to think about you, and you have too much going on to think about him. Just let it go. Anyway, Blaq poet's album is set to hit stores Feb. 24th.

Before I'm out, it seems that ANOTHER music legend has passed away.

Gene McFadden (1949-2006)

This man was known as 1/2 of the songwriting team of McFadden & Whitehead (with John Whitehead) and composed many memorable hits for the Philadelphia International Records stable. From "Backstabbers" to "Wake Up Everybody", to "Ain't No Stopping Us Now", these guys are among the best songwriters to ever come out of the 70's. Problem is, they ALWAYS get tagged with the one-hit-wonder title, which gets tiresome. I don't see them that way. Yeah, they may have had one hit when they tried to make their own records, but you never had to wonder where they went, as they still made hits for other artists.

Unfortunately, we lost them both. While John Whitehead was murdered in his garage in May 11, 2004 (the case still goes unsolved), Gene McFadden was diagnosed with Liver & Lung Cancer and died in his home on Jan 27, 2006.
