Last week, I talked about how the Nine Inch Nails remix website went belly-up after after initially falling victim to some legal wrangling. Now, NIN's website has been launched at remix.nin.com.

Nine Inch Nails guitarist Aaron North and Queens of the Stone Age bassist Michael Shuman have formed a new band, Jubilee. Recording of their debut album is currently underway with the first single "Rebel Hiss" set to hit radio on January 21.

Metal Blade Records will be issuing a DVD video compilation entitled The 25th Year in Videos on January 22:

In Flames have offered the following update regarding a North American release of their as-yet untitled new album:

"We have seen that many of you, especially our US fans, are wondering if we are not releasing our new album in North America. All you guys can relax as we will not let you down and the new album WILL be released over there too. Nuclear Blast Records have the right to release our material everywhere except in North America. We are currently working on the US record deal. This should be resolved very shortly. So NO worries, our new album WILL be released in the US.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea was one the people hit hard this weekend when a fire ripped through Malibu for the second time in just over a month. Flea's $4.8 million home was one of the 49 homes lost in the area in the blaze.

AFI have started work on their follow-up to 2006's Decemberunderground. "Davey (Havok, vocalist) and I spent the last three days locked in a hotel room writing and we already have four new songs," explains guitarist Jade Puget. "I have tons of material written so I'm raring to go!"

Nickelback front-man Chad Kroeger pleaded not guilty to impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.08 in Canada's Surrey Provincial Court last week. The minimum sentence on conviction is a $600 fine and a one-year driving ban.

Roadrunner Records announced an exclusive worldwide agreement with former Sanctuary CEO/President Tom Lipsky to launch an as-yet-unnamed joint venture label. The label will aim to bring in "established classic and heritage Rock artists" to the Roadrunner roster.

Meanwhile, Roadrunner Records will be issuing a Spineshank best of collection entitled The Best Of Spineshank on January 29:

As I Lay Dying recently finished up filming a video for their track "The Sound Of Truth" in Los Angeles, CA with director Brian Thompson (Killswitch Engage, Angels & Airwaves). It is expected to begin airing in January. The video will continue the storyline started by the band's video for their track "Nothing Left".

Killswitch Engage won't be hitting the studio anytime soon as they plan to continue touring in support of their latest album As Daylight Dies well into next year. As previously reported, the band is looking to be touring the U.S. in January alongside The Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die and Parkway Drive with an official announcement to be made soon.

10 Years have released a tentative track listing for their new album Division. The album is due out on March 4 and is expected to include the following tracks:

Red missed a couple their dates with Seether after totaling their tour van in Nashville. The band was on their way to trade the van in on a new tour bus when the accident occurred. No serious injuries were reported. Several photos of the accident are available on their MySpace page.

Simple Plan will release their Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Mudvayne) produced new self-titled album on February 12. The first single "When I'm Gone" is available on MySpace.

Metallica will reportedly release the first single from their new album via the Rock Band video game. The album is expected in February.

Bury Your Dead have begun work on their new album at Florida's Audiohammer Studios with the mighty Jason Suecof (Trivium, Chimaira) once again behind the boards with Cain engineering. A spring release date through Victory is expected for the as-yet untitled effort.

36 Crazyfists have set The Tide And It's Takers as the title to their new album which will see a March 4 release date through Ferret Music. The effort is being produced by band guitarist/backing vocalist Steve Holt with Andy Sneap (Machine Head, As I Lay Dying) handling the mix.

According to a posting by the band, The Fall Of Troy have now parted ways with their previously on hiatus bassist Tim Ward. Current fill-in bassist Frank Black will permanently replace Ward in the group's line-up.

Filter will be releasing a new album next year. They have titled their upcoming studio album Anthems for the Damned. The Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, 10 Years) produced album is expected to be in stores in March.

The Black Crowes will release their new studio album Warpaint internationally on March 4. Track listing includes:

Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams recently addressed the backlash the band have been facing after band frontman Keith Buckley joined Fall Out Boy onstage for a cover of Pantera's "Walk". Also, Every Time I Die and From First To Last are now expected to take part in the 2008 edition of the annual "Take Action Tour", which will kick off in February. More details and dates are currently pending.

According to their official website, Meshuggah have announced a March 7 release date via Nuclear Blast for their new album obZen. However, being that March 7 falls on a Friday you can probably expect that date to be revised soon. Meshuggah have confirmed the track listing for their new album:

A Perfect Circle mastermind Billy Howerdel's new band ASHES dIVIDE have officially inked a deal with Island Records and will release the debut album in March. Howerdel handled nearly all the instruments in the studio for the release, sans the drums which he recruited Josh Freese for. Touring plans and a touring line-up for the band will be revealed soon.

Some more details have been revealed for Tool's upcoming DVD for the video of their track "Vicarious". Slated to arrive in stores on December 18, the DVD will feature the video for the title track along with a documentary, that according to a press release, "takes you through the history of Adam Jones' visual effects work, and the process and people involved in the creation of the groundbreaking all CGI video 'Vicarious.'" An audio commentary of the video by comedian David Cross, a tour of Alex Grey's CoSM and more will also be featured.

Warning: Side Effects of the Touring Updates May Lead To Moshing

As expected, Hawthorne Heights have canceled the rest of their 2007 tour in the wake of the death of guitarist Casey Calvert. A spokesperson for the band told MTV News the band members have returned to Dayton, OH to be with Calvert's wife.

Velvet Revolver have reportedly canceled their upcoming Australian tour due to "health issues".

All That Remains' upcoming headlining run in February is expected to feature Chimaira, Five Finger Death Punch and Divine Heresy. Dates and venues have yet to be announced.

The Dillinger Escape Plan have announced that they plan to tour throughout the western part of the U.S. around April with more info to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Sick Puppies have posted a Christmas tune titled "Killing Myself for Christmas" on their MySpace page. The band is currently on tour with Evanescence.

Evans Blue vocalist Kevin Matisyn has revived his solo MySpace page. The page currently includes a demo track titled "Marissa's Song". Matisyn is planning to release a solo album in the near future.

A new 3 Doors Down track titled "Citizen Soldier" is available for free download at this location. The bands new album is currently being mixed by Johnny K (Disturbed, Finger 11), who also produced the disc, which is due out early next year. You have to sign up to get the song.
