The video for In Flames' new single "The Mirror's Truth" has been posted online here. In addition, the track itself can be heard here. The song is taken from the band's forthcoming new album A Sense Of Purpose, which is due out on April 1. The effort will be preceded by a North American digital single (iTunes) for the track "The Mirror's Truth" on March 11. The single will be backed by the following tracks:

02 - "Eraser"
03 - "Tilt"
04 - "Abnegation"

A physical CD release of the single will also take place in Europe on March 7.

According to a recent update, Trivium have demoed 20 new songs for their upcoming new album and are moving ahead with plans to hit the studio shortly to begin recording it.

Linkin Park will be releasing a single for their track "Given Up" overseas on March 3. A live video for the aforementioned track is currently in the works.

The track listing has been revealed for the upcoming "Punk Goes Crunk" compilation which will see an April 4 release date. Here's how the album will run:

Soilwork have parted ways with guitarist Ola Frenning and have replaced him with David Andersson for the near future.

Terror have reportedly inked a deal with Century Media for the release of their next album which they are currently said to be recording with producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed). A release late this spring/early this summer is expected.

Ligeia has set Bad News as the title to their new album which they have begun work on with Ken Susi of Unearth producing. A spring/summer release date is expected.

36 Crazyfists' upcoming new album The Tide And Its Takers has been bumped back to a May 27 release date. The group recently filmed a video in Alaska for the first single from it, "We Gave It Hell", with director Soren (Behemoth, Unearth). 36 Crazyfists will be releasing a new EP dubbed The Oculus EP on April 19.

Apocalyptica will release their new studio album Worlds Collide in the U.S. on April 15. The video for the first single from the album "I'm Not Jesus", which features guest vocals from Cory Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour can be streamed here.

Atreyu will release a CDVU extended version of their latest album Lead Sails Paper Anchor on March 18.

Tracks from System Of A Down front-man Serj Tankian, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello and Pearl Jam front-man Eddie Vedder will be featured on a double-album, Body Of War: Songs That Inspired An Iraq War Veteran. The album will be released in March with a documentary of the same name to drop later in the year.

Papa Roach have chosen Jay Baumgardner (Papa Roach, Evanescence) to co-produce their new album which they will begin recording shortly. Baumgardner will be sharing the production duties with the band.

He Is Legend have parted ways with their guitarist Mitch Marlow and have replaced him with Worth Weaver of Friends For Hire fame. Marlow exited the band to join the recently-reunited Filter. He Is legend are currently working on new material for their next album which they plan to begin recording later this year.

Thrice will be releasing a digital single for their track "Come All You Weary" via iTunes on March 4. The effort will include the title track, an acoustic version of the bands new track "The Whaler", a remix of the song "Digital Sea" done by The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman and a video for "Digital Sea" as well. Band drummer Riley Breckenridge had the following to say about Weinman's remix:

"As far as the remix goes, we've all been fans of Dillinger Escape Plan for years, and I've kept in touch with Ben Weinman since we did a show with them in London in 2004. Once I found out he was working on remixes, I really wanted to see what he could do with some of our stuff, so when the band discussed the idea of doing a remix, he was the first person I hit up. Luckily, he agreed to give it a shot, and I'm glad he did. I'm really happy with how it came out, and honored to have had a musician I have great respect for, create his take on one of our songs."

Thrice's new effort The Alchemy Index: Vols. III & IV - Earth & Air will see an April 15 release date.

According to an update over at their official website, www.normajeannoise.com, Norma Jean have six songs written for their new album which will be titled The AntiMother. They hope to have the effort out by the summer's end and will be collaborating with Helmet's Page Hamilton on a track, among others, and promise the end results will not be mere "guest vocal spots."

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan recently revealed to MTV.com that Tool plan to begin writing their new album shortly. "The music always comes first," Keenan said. "We all get in a room, shut out all the extra noises from the other people and what goes on outside the room and just focus on the four of us, where we are that day. And then we just start making sounds."

Warning: Touring Updates May Lead To Spontaneous Moshing

This year's edition of the "Summer Slaughter Tour" will kick off on June 20 with The Black Dahlia Murder, Katakylsm, Vader, Cryptopsy and Whitechapel currently onboard for the trek. According to a press release, five other bands will be announced for the bill shortly with a complete schedule set to be announced soon as well.

The full list of bands for this year's Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, OH has been revealed. Stone Temple Pilots will headline the event with their first reunion show on May 17th. Other bands confirmed for the show:

The event will take place at the Columbus Crew Stadium on May 17th and 18th. Stone Temple Pilots have also confirmed their second reunion show for this Summer at Rock Fest 2008, set to take place July 17th-20th in Cadott, Wisconsin.

Rumored bands for this year's Ozzfest have started to surface. The following bands have been suggested as part of the tour:

Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots, Serj Tankian, Killswitch Engage, Cavalera Conspiracy, Bullet For My Valentine, Filter, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Between The Buried And Me, Testament and Fair To Midland.

This year's Ozzfest is expected to be a short run much like last year.

Evans Blue vocalist Kevin Matisyn and Nixon from Framing Hanley will be performing two acoustic dates later this month. The first will take place on February 25th in at On the Rocks in Nashville, TN with the second date scheduled for February 26th at the Scout Bar in Houston, TX.
