Most of my extra free time went into helping with the MusicZone Podcast. However, you can check out last week's news report or check out Billboard.com for the most up to date rankings.

In what is a sad piece of rock/metal news for me, my favorite artist of 2007 has decided to fold. Still Remains has announced their intentions to disband and have offered the following statement on the matter:
"This is a goodbye letter from us to you. We will be seeing most of you again I'm sure but not from on stage. We've decided to make this headlining tour our last as Still Remains and Cornerstone Festival our last show. We want to thank all of the wonderful loving people we've met in the past few years for being there for us. It's been an amazing run but we are done for personal reasons. No we don't hate each other or want to punch each other in the face. It's just time for us to move on to different things in our lives. Please come see us on our headlining tour and help us go out with a bang! We are extremely excited to see what the future holds for each and every one of us. So keep your eyes and ears open and God Bless!!!!!!"
Coldplay have now changed the title to Viva la Vida or Death And All His Friends, according to coldplay.com. The record is due out June 17.
Shadows Fall has addressed the rumors of them leaving Atlantic Records with the following statement:
"Since returning home, we have been made aware of some rumors involving ourselves and our record label. Let me make this very clear ... we have no intention of splitting with our label. Atlantic Records and Roadrunner Worldwide have been amazing to us throughout the release of Threads Of Life and we look forward to continuing our working relationship with both on our next release. It appears that some people out there don't know the difference between "rumors" and actual "news". Somehow we were linked to a blind news item that mentioned neither us or our label and a few people decided to assume it was us. Well, we all know what happens when you ASSume ..."
Former Bush front-man Gavin Rossdale will release his new single "Love Remains the Same" to all digital retailers on April 1. The track will be released to radio on April 14. The track is taken from his upcoming solo release Wanderlust which is due out on April 8.

Also featured is the band's take on Satchel's "Criminal Justice. 36 Crazyfists will release their new album on May 27.
Sevendust have parted ways with guitarist Sonny Mayo and have replaced him with original band guitarist Clint Lowery. Band drummer/screamer Morgan Rose had the following to say on the departure/reunion:
"This was extremely tough considering Sonny is our brother and has been amazing to work with. He didn't do anything wrong at all, we just owe it to ourselves and all the folks that grew up with us to put our original band back together. Clint has always been our brother and Sonny will always remain our brother as well. We are sorry to say goodbye to Sonny and I'm sure this will be tough on the fans that follow him, but we're excited about reuniting the original lineup of Sevendust."
Vocalist LaJon Witherspoon added, "Everything happens for a reason. Sonny is an incredible person and we thank him for everything. Just like when you leave home, you come back! Hopefully everyone will understand the decision we have made. God bless you all. Welcome home Clint Lowery."
