[Audio] 411 Music Interview: Rich Beddoe of Finger Eleven
Posted by Ben Czajkowski on 07.18.2008
Ben Czajkowski sits down with Rich Beddoe, drummer for Finger Eleven. They talk about Them Vs. You Vs. Me, touring with Seether, hatred for Gene Simmons, new material, and much more. Plus, Beddoe helps put to bed the alleged “Paralyzer”/Franz Ferdinand riff plagiarism once and for all.
An introduction
Recently, I had an opportunity to talk with Rich Beddoe of Finger Eleven. He's been drumming with the band for as long as they've been Finger Eleven (they used to be Rainbow Butt Monkeys).
I run the gambit on questions, everything from personal, music, and life aspirations to Gene Simmons bashing Radiohead. He is also kind enough to talk about the controversy around the alleged Franz Ferdinand "Take Me Out" guitar riff plagiarism in the hit Finger Eleven song "Paralyzer."
Rather than transcribing the audio, I decided it was best presented in such format other than text. What was only supposed to be a 10-minute sit-down turned into almost a half hour worth of chatting. And that would be a lot of speech to text…Been there done that. Refuse to do it again.
