Could Chinese Democracy see November release? Nickelback releases album title. Tenacious D DVD!! New Limp Bizkit on the horizon? Posthumous Pantera project to see release. Sevendust box set, CD/DVD. Black Light Burns update. Tour info for Chris Cornell, The Smashing Pumpkins, Staind, more. Full length audio from Trivium, Anberlin, more.
The band everyone loves to hate…Nickelback has titled their new studio release Dark Horse. The band will release the track "Gotta Be Somebody" to radio this week while the album hits stores on November 18. This is the final album the band has for their contract under Roadrunner. Earlier this year, they signed a lucrative deal with LiveNation, who now owns the soul of Chad and company.
Again, with some pretty devastating news, Bury Your Dead has involved in a serious van accident while on tour in eastern Canada. While most of the band escaped relatively unscathed, guitarist Brendan "Slim" MacDonald is said to be undergoing surgery for a leg injury incurred, while the van and trailer have been totaled.
Black Light Burns checked in with an update this past week:
So someone complained about no new blog. I guess I'm getting off my game here. Everything is good. Almost finished mixing 18 new Black Light Burns songs. So good, so good.
Speaking of bands that everyone loves to hate, the most hated of them all! Limp Bizkit reunited with Terry Balsamo, handling the guitar duties. However, it has been found that Balsamo and Sam Rivers are currently working on a side project together, so there's no telling if and when new LB music will hit the streets. In before "Limp Bizkit sucks".
Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery will release his upcoming five track solo EP under the name Hello Demons, Meet Skeletons (awesome name!!). A title for the EP, which is due out later this year, has yet to be set.
Zao are currently in the studio recording their upcoming new album with Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying and Daniel Castleman (Destroy The Runner, Winds Of Plague) handling the production duties alongside guitarist Scott Mellinger. A 2009 release is expected for the effort.

The Devil Wears Prada is making progress with writing new material for their next album. Meanwhile, more details have emerged regarding the extra content featured on the upcoming CD/DVD reissue of Plagues. While no bonus tracks are expected to appear on the CD portion, the effort will come in all new deluxe packaging, with new artwork and a DVD showcasing footage from the band's stint on this past summer's "Warped Tour", their spring 2008 headlining run and both of their music videos. The new version of the album will be released on October 28.
Black Water Rising (ex-Stereomud) will release a new four track EP this week. The EP will be available via mail order only and will be available for purchase on the band's MySpace page. Track listing includes:

Chimaira have chosen Zeuss (Hatebreed, The Autumn Offering) to mix their upcoming new album which they will begin recording on 21st with producer Ben Schigel (Chimaira, Walls Of Jericho). Speaking on the decision band frontman Mark Hunter had the following to say: "Working with Zeuss on this album will bring a completely different vibe and we feel it will wind up being the heaviest sounding Chimaira record to date. We are not being cliche and saying, "This is our heaviest album ever!!!!", but in terms of tones and power, we feel this guy is going to make the new record sound like an axe just hit you in the mouth."
Stuck Mojo's new album The Great Revival will hit stores on November 28. Track listing includes:
1. "Worshipping A False God" 2. "15 Minutes Of Fame" 3. "Friends" 4. "The Flood" 5. "Now That You're All Alone" 6. "There's A Doctor in Town" 7. "The Fear" 8. "There's A Miracle Coming" 9. Red Hot Chili Peppers will have the bulk of their Blood Sugar Sex Magik album available as premium downloadable content for play on "Rock Band" this week. More on that can be found here.
Metal Blade has revealed more details on Behemoth's upcoming EP Ezkaton, which will land in stores on November 11. Here's what the label had to say about the effort: "The EP features 7 tracks, 1 Brand new song titled Qadosh, a live version as well as a new studio recording of Chant for Ezkaton 2000 e.v.. Becoming The Archetype has revealed the guest vocalists who will appear on their upcoming new album Dichotomy. They include Devin Townsend, who also produced the album, Ryan Clark of Demon Hunter, and a soprano singer by the name of Suzanne Richter. Wait for it. Wait for it….THERE WE GO! I've achieved wood. Dichotomy is scheduled for a November 25 release.
Christ Inversion, a black metal project, which saw Pantera's Phil Anselmo team up with a variety of corpse painted individuals in the mid 90's, will have their self-titled debut effort posthumously released on October 28. The band's second batch of recordings, 13th Century Luciferian Rites, is also being prepped for release through the label. For now, those unfamiliar with the project can find more info here.
The Number Twelve Looks Like You are currently mixing their new album with Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and are shooting for an early 2009 release date for the effort. In the meantime, their record label is set to reissue the band's early effort Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses on November 4.
Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Coheed And Cambria and more round out the bands selected to have live footage featured on the upcoming Vans Warped Tour 2007 DVD, which will see a release on December 2. As the title states, the effort captures the 2007 edition of the annual tour.
Tenacious D will release The Complete Masterworks 2 DVD on November 4. The release includes a footage documenting the film Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny and a complete live performance. A trailer can be streamed here.
RollingStone.com reports that the long awaited Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy will be released exclusively by Best Buy on November 25. However Billboard.com reports a release date has yet to be set. Either way, this could be the year…that no one cares. We'll miss Jarrod's presence out on the road, but Nick has fit in perfectly and we're excited for all of our fans to meet him.
