411 Music Breakout: Neon Trees
Posted by Brittany Haskins on 06.28.2009

Welcome to 411 Music Breakout, where we check out a new band that you need to hear just before everyone else hears them. Our first edition puts the spotlight on the Neon Trees.

Who Are The Neon Trees?

Flashback to a year ago inside of a basement in Provo, Utah - where four people from separate bands decided to jam together. Three hours and six new songs later, the group knew something magical had just taken place in that little basement and their futures would take an amazing and positive turn. With Elaine Doty on drums, Branden Campbell on bass, Chris Allen on guitar and Tyler Glenn on keyboards and vocals, they formed the Neon Trees and began selling out shows in Provo. They soon learned that the Killers had heard the band, loved them, and handpicked the Neon Trees to open for them on their first 2008 North American tour dates. Soon after they signed a record deal with Mercury Records and are in Los Angeles recording their debut album.

The band is more catchy than you'd expect and put on an amazing live show. Be sure to keep an eye out for Neon Trees because they will be on your local radio stations soon.
