Limp Bizkit Cancels UFC Gig

Band wasn't happy with the venue...
Limp Bizkit have pulled out of their scheduled performance at the July 10th UFC 100 show in Las Vegas. It was to be the band's first performance in the US (with the original line-up) in eight years.
A disagreement over DVD rights and the venue were a source of controversy between the band and promoters, which led to Limp Bizkit pulling out.
The band released the following statement and promised they would still work on scheduling a Vegas show at a different venue.
"Limp Bizkit did NOT, in any way, cancel the UFC 100 concert in Las Vegas. Truth is UFC and Interscope Records could not come to an agreement on certain DVD rights. With all respect to Mandalay Bay, the UFC were also unhappy with Limp Bizkit decision of wanting to switch the performance from the Beach at Mandalay Bay with its inappropriate layout for a heavy rock concert with Limp Bizkit, basically a stage in front of a pool, to a more standard concert venue also located at the Mandalay Bay, which was the House Of Blues. The UFC expressed they wanted a ‘party vibe' for this event and would not settle for any venue besides the Beach for this and other reasons."
Interscope probably wanted more $$ than LB songs are worth.
Screw the labels.

Holy crap... there IS a god. Screw Limp Bizkit. They don't belong at the event anyway

Why are the Biscuits demanding a more conventional rock show?
This was a perfect out for them: playing in front of a pool would at least give them an excuse for nobody watching them.

At this point they should be happy anyone is calling them for a gig.

This month has been filled with tragedy, but finally at the end of it we get some good news. Rejoice! Hallelujah!

Sounds similar to the disagreement that Kid Rock had with WWE when it came to the DVD rights for Mania 25. WWE did the smart thing and just yanked the performance from the DVD. NO PROBLEM!
