And what does Diana Ross have to do with it?
Michael Jackson's will was filed in LA today. The will was executed in 2002 and leaves his entire estate to the Michael Jackson Family Trust, which benefits Jackson's three children and his mother, Katherine Jackson, as well as several charities.
Jackson's mother, who is 79, is the first pick to be guardian of Jackson's three kids, but if she is unable to, the will then nominates pop-star and longtime Jackson friend Diana Ross.
The document also goes out of its way to exclude Deborah Rowe, the mother of Jackson's two oldest kids. This line is from the will: "I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife, Deborah Rowe Jackson."
Attorney John Branca and music industry executive John McClain are the executors of the will.
Jackson had nearly $500 million in debt, but his assets are apparently worth nearly $1 billion.
