Foo Fighters Announce Last Minute July 4th DC Gig
Posted by Mitch Michaels on 07.02.2009

The Foo Fighters have announced that they'll play a special Fourth of July party this Saturday at the White House. The band will perform a short set as part of the Independence Day festivities on the South Lawn.

Earlier this week, President Obama invited staffers and their immediate families to the official First Family celebration.

The Foos are currently on a break. Bassist Nate Mendel has reunited with his old band Sunny Day Real Estate, while Grohl is cooking up a project with Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme.
