Rihanna's New Career: Tattoo Artist?
Posted by Mitch Michaels on 07.03.2009

Rihanna has long been a fan of tattoos, but she took it to the next level yesterday at East Side Ink in New York. Rihanna gave a try at being a tattoo artist - inking the letter "R" onto staff at the shop. Rihanna apparently came in to the parlor for a lesson from her own personal tattoo artist.

Of course, now that the news has broken, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said they'd be investigating the incident. "Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City's Health Code. We are sending someone down to follow up on this," the NYC Health Department told TMZ.

It looks like Rihanna could be fined $300 (for her first offense) and East Side Ink may face fines as well.

I'm sure that'll crush her finances. It'll just end up costing less than a lesson from a pro artist.

Although it seems like a harmless media event, those laws are there for a reason and need to be adhered to with no exception.

I'm gonna go ahead and file this one under "overzealous local government/law enforcement trying to get a little publicity off someone famous".

Do you think she would tattoo a black eye for me?

Mikel as you prove on an almost daily basis in the politics section you are a tool of the highest order.

Why didn't this moron go do this somewhere PRIVATE?

And then you wonder what might have lead this unconscionable twit to get her ass beaten recently. I'm sure they had to clock that bitch in the jaw before she could ink the rest of her name and a caricature sketch onto dude.

Next she's gonna get some lessons from her private marksman by bustin' some caps into the audience of her next concert, aiming for the Chris Brown t-shirts.
