Michael Jackson Memorial Service Update
Posted by Ashish on 07.04.2009

AEG Live has opened up the lottery for Michael Jackson memorial tickets to international residents after initially having it open only to U.S. residents. The problem is, you're probably not going to get tickets anyway. Over 500,000 people entered the lottery in the first seven hours, that's over 70,000 people per hour. If things remain at that rate, over 2 million people will end up registering. Considering that only 8,750 people will get picked, that leaves your chances at less than 1%.

If you're feeling lucky, sign up for the lottery is still on for a few more hours at the Staples Center website.

This news makes me think of the scene in Adventures of Ford Fairlane where the detective has to buy tickets for a funeral of a famous rock star from a scalper. You know it's gonna happen.
