Rush Limbaugh Responds To Jay-Z Diss
Posted by Mitch Michaels on 08.26.2009
"I did not know I was on anybody’s balls"...
Conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh has responded to Jay-Z's warning to "get off his balls" in his new track "Off That". Check out the audio and a transcript below.
"Does this, Snerdley, mark a new development in my career to be singled out in a rap song by the famous rapper Jay Z? I guess it is. As far as I know I have never been mentioned in a rap song by anybody. I guess it means I've made it. I'm now in a rap tune by the famous rapper Jay Z. "[T]ell Bill O Reilly to fall back. Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my balls." I would remind the rapper Jay Z: Mr. Z, it is President Obama who wants to mandate circumcision. We had that story yesterday; and that means if we need to save our penises from anybody, it's Obama. I did not know I was on anybody's balls, either. I'm happy to know that they think I am, though! But I didn't actually know that I was."

Fuck Jay Z. The guy hasn't been relevant in at least 8 years.

i hate when lame asses get dissed and their only response is to ridicule the slang and the culture, if you're gonna address it, address it directly like a man.

Limbaugh for the win!

The slang (raping of the English language) and culture (glorifying drug use, violence, gangs and misogyny) deserve to be ridiculed.

People actually listen to what Limbaugh has to say? I always thought his comedy show was meant to be taken as exactly that, comedy.

I dislike Rush as much as the next guy... but that was a HEE-LAR-EE-US comeback...

Rush doesn't even break a sweat running intellectual circles around Jay-Z. Let's sample some rapper intellect, like Mos Def thinking 9/11 was an inside job and Kanye "George Bush hates black people" and 100% of rappers thinking Katrina was a grand Bush conspiracy to drown all the black folk.
So called "intellectual rappers" are the biggest joke of all.

Why Oh Why can't this man be killed in traffic or something?

Nice generalization douche, here's another; all comments on this site (yes, including this one) are idiotic and pointless. That said, leave it to Rush Limbaugh to take an insult and then use it as some lame attempt at insulting the president in another sad example of conservative hate-mongering without even insulting the person who insulted him in the first place.

And what issue exactly was Mr.Z rapping about that Rush had to respond too???

Jay-Z is an idiot.
Rush Limbaugh is far smarter, as his lies are usually well-crafted and he knows other Righties and Fox News will have his back when he says something mind-bogglingly stupid.
Rush Limbaugh is a cancer of American society.

MBD failed hard on that comment.

Jay-Z is WEAK. Lame. Rush just pwned him.

I expect something like this from an anonymous guest poster. I am surprised and saddened to hear this from a former writer for the site.
I'll simply tell you that your statement is a gross generalization at it's very best and is evidence that you have very little knowledge of either the genre nor the culture that birthed it.

Why does everyone put rap down because "all it talks about is sex, and drugs," I mean really do all of you people just listen to Christian music. Guns 'N Roses had a song called Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, Van Halen sung a song about wanting to have sex with a teacher. Every type of music has the same types of basis so find a new reason not to like something or at least stop with the, its all sex and drugs BS.

Hate mongering? LOL. I challenge you to find any factual errors in Rush's statement above.
{crickets}
PS, when you try to play the victim card (waaah they're hate-mongering me and I'm all innocent and stuff!) you just end up looking like a pussy.

Rockers are idiots that talk about crap as well.
Posted By: Guest#0306 (Guest) on August 26, 2009 at 04:44 PM
Rush gives the GOP a bad name. I'm a proud liberal and work with some nice rightwingers. In fact, today, one of them gave me a farting asscrack piggy bank for my birthday.(GLORIOUS!!) Anyway, he does come off as a huge douche and it's people like him on both sides that ruin it for everybody else.

Jay Z should shut his pie hole and go back to being Mr. Beyonce...

Actually, it seems YOU don't know shit about the genre or the 'culture' that birthed it. Modern rap IS all about violence, drugs, sex, and profligacy, performed by barely literate thugs whose only goal in life is to have a necklace bigger than their homey's. And I'm someone who LIKES rap, for all its insane posturing, subliterate boasting, and barely reasoned arguments. The days of Afrikaa Bambaata, Rakim, Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Flash...those days are gone, and their seats have been taken by the violent kids at the "special" school. Your arrogant posing that you know more than Connolly because he happens to have a different opinion of rap makes you a smarmy cock, whose opinion carries no weight, because you made an assumption you can't possibly defend. So keep your self-aggrandizing statements to yourself, J. Alexander Mitchell, and stick your own column.

Jigga what?

As much as I hate to say it, Rush Limbaugh won that.
Darn those neo-conservatives and their somewhat more coherent style of speech.

Wow... I didn't know people had cheerleaders around here. Now THAT is special.
I was unaware that Mos Def, The Roots, Chamillionaire, Talib Kweli, OutKast, and Common were all "violent kids" on the "special bus". Thank you for enlightening me.

After reading anything I wrote when I was writing here, it should come as no shock whatsoever that hip-hop ain't my cup of tea. I did dabble a little with it in college and HS, but I can't stand it any more. What can I say, I grew up and started to listen to real musicians playing real music on real instruments.
While there may be exceptions like the ones you listed, too much of the "culture" is based on the things I listed for it to be taken seriously.

I love how people slam Rush for being hate mongering (when I'm trying to find out what he said that was hate filled) when he's responding to a rapper who names him in his song and says that he's "on his balls." All the while many of you say "Rush Limbaugh is gay" "Why Oh Why can't this man be killed in traffic or something?" "Rush Limbaugh is a cancer of American society."
Seems the only "hate mongering" going on is by Jay Z and many on the left. Rush owned him here. Not that I'm surprised by any of this.
