The lack of "Return to Cookie Mountain" seems a bit daft. I'd also add "De-Loused in the Comatorium" to the list.

Chinese Democracy wasn't forgotten. It just wasn't that good.
This list has two White Stripes albums too many though

Um, Chinese Democracy? Seems they forgot that.

Wow, what the fuck?

It's just another list. Just a particularly shit and flawed one.

What a shitty decade for music if you go by that list. The only talented artists there are guys who peaked 20-30 years ago.

No Arctic Monkeys? Oh and Neon Bible is clearly a better album than Funeral!

Only problem i see is that Dylan's Together through life didn't make the list too. probably should also be in the top ten.

all lists are subjective.
But the White Stripes are pretty awesome.

Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf or System Of A Down - Toxicity could have been in there.

Not a good list at all. Some of the albums on there seem to be in mostly due to nostalgia, and it seems restricted to rock albums.
Time out of Mind and The Rising were good comebacks, but should be nowhere near a decade top 10, imo, and Smile was good at best, and wouldn't even make my top 100.
Thing about the 2000s is that great music has been made in all genres: dance, rap, r&b, jazz, pop, etc. Ignoring all of these for rock would be one thing, but the choices made here aren't actually good in any case. Heck, I prefer the Pitchfork list, and I'm not even that fond of the Pitchfork list.
Also, to anyone suggesting Chinese Democracy should be anywhere near this list, no. Just no. I don't think Smile would be in the top 100 albums of the decade, but Chinese Democracy wouldn't even make the top 200 imo.

kid rock - rock'n'roll jesus

Kid A is the superior Radiohead album and this list is - how should I put it - white centric. There have been ample releases in terms of hip hop yet they remain off the top 20.

Another shitty list of critic darlings. 20 entries of souless, ball-less music.
