Latest Chris Cornell Album Being Reworked
Posted by Aaron Mayagoitia on 10.27.2009

Chris Cornell's ill-received latest album Scream is being transformed into a proper rock album.

The original Timbaland-produced offering heavily featured club beats and pop production that was at complete odds with Cornell's grunge pedigree.

But now, Jordan Zadorozny (of Canadian indie band Blinker the Star) is reworking the songs so they have a more rock-oriented sound.

You can listen to both the R&B and rock version of "Never Far Away" here.

I don't believe the whole album is being re-worked. It was just one song, "Never Far Away".

well he would't have to remake the albume into a rock album if he just did the rock album in the first place

He should rework the whole album and basically anything else he's put out since leaving Audioslave. Don't know why one of the greatest voices in rock would try to reinvent himself. Stick with your strength and run with it as long as you can. Hopeful for you reunion with Soundgarden sometime in the future. And might as well bring up also that EV and Pearl Jam's latest stinks also.
