Michael Jackson's This Is It Soundtrack Likely To Debut #1
Posted by Ashish on 10.27.2009

The soundtrack for Michael Jackson's This Is It is well on its way to debuting #1 on next week's Billboard 200 album charts. The album, which was released on Monday, is expected to move around 300,000 copies by the end of the week based on the current pace of sales. That number could end up much higher if people end up going out and buying the soundtrack after watching the movie over the weekend.

Assuming the album debuts #1, it'll be Jackson's sixth album to debut at #1, joining Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, and Invincible.

Jackson already has the top selling album of the year, as Number Ones has sold 2 million copies this year so far.

Are these just the original recordings of the songs, or live versions from the film? I was looking at it at Walmart & it said "original masters", making me think it's the old stuff.
