Rihanna Says Pain Fueled Her New Album

Rihanna says the pain she's been going through in her personal life helped her to make her new album, Rated R.
"I'm usually a very guarded person, so having to go in and reach your emotions and personal things to say, it was very vulnerable," she said. Rihanna called the set "personal experiences mixed with rock and hip-hop."
"I'm really a woman, a human being," she said. "I go through real situations that women all over the world go through every day. It's great to have the opportunity to be a voice for those women."
Rihanna was in New York City last night to accept a Woman of the Year award from Glamour.
