Five untitled works from 1968 by acclaimed artist Jim Dine will be auctioned on November 17 in Los Angeles.
Dine's works were to be used for a Beatles album the band never made, since Capitol Records commissioned Dine for the project but was discarded when the band left Capitol and formed Apple Records.
The works are graphite and watercolor on vellum and are signed 'Jim Dine 1968' in the lower left corner. You can check them out below.
Auction house Bonhams & Butterfields expects to gather between $25,000 and $35,000 when the collection goes under the hammer. The collection wound up in the private stash of former Capitol Records President Sal Iannucci and his wife Aileen.
Sharon Goodman Squires, a specialist at Bonhams, described the works as "a lovely representation of how art and music can go together."
