Taylor Swift Involved In Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

That Idaho bar is in big trouble now...
Taylor Swift has attached herself to a copyright infringement lawsuit spearheaded by BMI, the enforcer of music royalties.
According to a lawyer connected to the case, BMI deployed an "agent" to The Sports Cellar bar in Idaho sometime last year. The agent noticed the bar was playing music, including Taylor's, that they hadn't paid for the right to play.
Swift and others are suing for unspecified damages.
Wow just wow these music artists HAVE to be kidding...and people wonder why the music industry is in such bad shape.

The industry is BRUTAL about this. I had a friend who was employed in college to go "shop" at various stores around the new york area and record the songs playing. They then would check the records and see if the store had license to play them. So ridiculous.
