Throw in the big four Michael Jackson albums and you have a winner. Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad or Dangerous. HIStory and Invincible are quite good too, the latter being overrated.
Sgt. Pepper is the best offering by The Beatles in my opinion, but second best compared to Jackson's work based on the dimensions of Jackson's work. (Dance moves, videos ect..)

this one will totally depend on what kind of music you love.
for me, it's gotta be Metallica's "Metallica" AKA The Black Albumn.
Metallica is hands down the best and most influencial American metal band ever. They already had a huge follwing in the metal scene, but when this albumn dropped, the gained what very few heavy metal bands had, mainstream success. Every song on this albumn is fantastic. From the Iconic opening of Enter Sandman, to the raw power of Sad But True, this albumn is 100% epic win.
I liked metal before I heard this CD, I LOVED it after.

There's only possibilities for greatest album of all time for me.
1. Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction
2. Oasis - Definately Maybe
3. Ice Cube - Death Certificate
If I had to choose 1, its gonna have to be Guns N Roses - Appetite.

Well, a technical answer would be something by The Beatles or Led Zeppelin. But my answer is AEnima, by Tool. So much amazing build and release, unique rhythms on top of other rhythms on top of OTHER rhythms, atmosphere unlike any other record, brain smashingly heavy, but beautiful and heavenly. Nothing can compare.

It's hard but out of personal favouritsm I'd pick Ice Cube's Death Certificate. That album hasn't been bettered by any rapper for 2 decades.

For a long time for me it used to be The Beatles' Revolver. Nowadays it's Slayer's Reign in Blood. RIB is just a perfect record from back to front, great run time, no filler.

ummm... anything, and I do mean anything...besides kanye...seriously. Even Fred Durst. Really. I'm not kidding. If Fred Durst joined creed and then they joined Nickelback and called themselves nickeldursteed it would still be a better choice than Kanye. With Jar Jar on the cover even. Still better than Kanye.

1. Bob Marley-Uprising
2. Stone Roses-Stone Roses
3. Rick James-Street Songs

Very good question, though I agree it depends heavily on tastes. My choice is definitely a Axl Rose album(he IS Guns and Roses).
I am going to go with "Use Your Illusion 1" and I will tell you why.
UYI1 has at least 1 song almost everyone can love, no matter what your tatses are. No other album has ever mixed rock, glam, country, blues, rap, metal, etc. as great as it does. It even has the epic "Coma."

Ten by Pearl Jam
Posted By: Guest#7158 (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:51 AM
For me, personally, it's Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream. From start to finish, it's bliss: perfect flow, no song seems out of place, has the rockers and the ballads.
Other candidates:
Pink Floyd: The Wall
Beatles: Rubber Soul (if you base it on importance: influenced Pet Sounds, which influenced Sgt. Pepper, which influenced almost everyone directly or indirectly)
Metallica: Master of Puppets
Stone Temple Pilots: Purple
Pearl Jam: Ten
