Adam Lambert Says Gay Kiss At AMAs Was Unplanned

This was definitely NOT a stunt to promote his new album that came out today...
Last night, Adam Lambert closed out the American Music Awards with a performance of the title track from his new album, For Your Entertainment, which hit stores today. During the song, Lambert kissed his male keyboard player.
ABC editors did not remove any of Lambert's performance for the later broadcast - the show teased Lambert's "outrageous performance" before it happened. Still, some are calling the kiss shocking.
"I do feel like there's a bit of a double standard in the entertainment community, on television, on radio," Lambert said. "I feel like women performers have been pushing the envelope, especially, for the past 20 years. And all of the sudden a male does it and everybody goes 'Oh, we can't show that on TV.' For me, that's a form of discrimination and a double standard. And that's too bad."
Lambert said it was "in the moment. Part of what I love about being a live performer is that sometimes you just are in the moment and sometimes things just happen. Adrenaline is a crazy, crazy, crazy feeling. Some of the things I love most about performing is when you're up there and all of the sudden you just have these feelings, this rush that comes over you."

I'm gay but I think it's no big deal to see two dudes kiss on tv. No different than two chicks (although chicks kissing would be more fun for ME, lol). But seriously, discrimination runs rampant through this country and it's disgusting. But hey, it exists everywhere so...

Not when everyone knows you're just doing it to create controversy. We get it, Adam, you're gay. You still have no talent. I'm sure now everyone that isn't a Lambert fan will be labeled a homophobe.

He would have been beaten and shot up after being dropped from the label. lamberts 15mins of fame are up. go be gay somewhere else.

I think it is awsome that we had a gay male kiss on TV. When Madonna and Brittney did it several years ago it was fine. It was all over the news media and people loved it. Now a boy does it and its wrong. When will people get it that we were born this way and its in our. There is no choise.

I think it's awesome... and it's a step... just a small, yet markedly significant in the gay agenda... the orchestrated plot we gays have to infiltrate society... and Miss Adam is just one of our delicious tools that we use to accomplish this.

I see nothing wrong with what you did, I understand you got caught in the moment, it can happen. other say it was a publicity stunt, I don't care if it was or not. You have the right to express yourself and I have to say it is very refreshing to see someone continuing to be real within themselves. you keep doing what you are doing it works for you. you have alot of talent. Continue to be true to yourself.

You know i have read all the discriminatory comments by non-gay folks on here. But need i remind you that the Matthew Shepard Hate crimes bill has been signed into law. And some of the comments made are derrogatory enough to be considered a hate crime. So you need to keep your illegal comments to yourselves folks.
